Stealing Second Issue |
|
|
Someone has probably posted this, but what the heck: I had an issue a few weeks ago where I would have a player on first try to steal second while a runner was on second. He was getting picked off because he was so slow to get to second and back to first. I was told that if I trained running, that wouldn't happen so much - not to worry about it.
I've got a new encarnation of the same problem - I was playing a game Sunday and the catcher was so slow, my runner from first got to second and stood there while the catcher ran up to the pitcher's mound to throw the ball. My player turned back to first and the catcher threw it there... Now my player's are too fast?
It would be really nice if the logic for stealing second base could be tweeked to fix this... |

As far as I know, this only happens in exibition games. Unless I missed something, base stealing has not been implemented for Big League or Pro League games.
If that is still the case, the real answer is just don't worry about it. It took me a while to get over it too, but exibition games are completely meaningless. It does make it more difficult to see how you stack up against potential opponents, but just play them in a public game instead. What's the worst thing that could happen? |
