Commissioner: revenue idea |
|
|
Instead of fundamentally changing the way teams are trained (QT) why not generate revenue by tapping into owner's desire for self-expression:
logos? banners? team cheers?
i would be willing to pay a monthly subscription fee for a personalized stadium in which i could display my team logo, banners, and maybe a favorite quote or two.
it's always more fun playing a team when you have some sense of who the owner is. team/player names and posts on the forums help to provide that sense, but why not expand it? |

| All this customization talk is very attractive from the owner's side. However, the key to ruinning a business is not revenue--it's profit. You know, what's left over after all of the costs of doing business are deducted. My guess is that it would take more time and energy (=$) to implement a suggestion like this than people would be willing to pay. Therefore, it may very well be a nice source of revenue, but I doubt that there would be any profit in it. |

| i would but but not a monthly charge - only a one off cost. And i wouldn't cost that much to change the links on the back wall from SB and Fat cat (or what ever) to a logo and your web site link (if only for your games at home) |

| that would be ok, but you would never see your advertising live, only in reviewed games, that would be a waste of money |

I hear you gameshark but...
i think it would just add another dimension to the game...it wouldn't be so much about seeing your own logo, but more about seeing the logo etc. of the opposing team. Imagine not seeing the same old stadiums over and over.
There are a lot of very creative and competitive folks out here who would strive to have the coolest logos, banners, quotes etc. |

keep this in mind, you won't see it when you initiate the game because you are in their stadium, you will only see it when you review games when you were challenged.
You want to pay for that?? Hey are you interested in buying a bridge in Brooklyn?? Got one for sale at a reasonable price!! _________________

| yeah but when a team challanges you then you would see there logo as Thurston said and tey would see your when you where challanged. This would be good for League Managers as people would click on the logos and it would take them to there site. It would be cool to see anyways |

seriously...the fun would be in seeing opposing teams logos etc. when i initiate games and in knowing that opposing teams are seeing my logos etc. when they initiate against me. |

Why not, alot of people read and will vote but won't post. It would give you a better idea of the thoughts in the forum and would/could give commish some important info to use to make a decision.
And yeah they are avatar crazed!! _________________
