Pro-League Slow Down? |
|
|
So to keep this here I will begin with: The Pro-League games seem to be moving along slower than usual. I think this is due to everyones hesitation concerning the QT tickets!
I have an idea concerning the DT. How about offering an enhanced version that would actually break down the batting skill training. I really enjoy actually training my guys and understand the QT's are now apart of the game but I think that many would be interested in paying $20 again(one time) or a $5 monthly subscription for a Super Deluxe Trainer. All you would need to do is offer pure swing skill gains ONLY at the plate, pure power skill gains ONLY at the red cage, and pure contact skills ONLY at the yellow cages. This will allow all to use the batting skill training breakdown available with QT tickets. I personally have purchased the QT's and will implement them to keep up with the JONES' , but would really enjoy training my team personally, because the QT's have taken one half of the fun of the game away.
What do you guys think? |

Since the owner of the original thread won't follow the rules about where to post suggestions, and he continues to post the same thing over and over until he gets his way, I have no other option but to combine the thread as best I can...it's not worth the hassle to argue with some people that won't listen.
Here is the replies to his other 2 posts (which are now deleted).

From the looks of the other crap that gets posted under this forum, it looks to me like you have a problem with the poster more than the subject of the post. Make sure and delete this one to GW. Or, come up with one of your "I'm above it all" replies. The guy is posting something that is of interest to "advanced" owners. How the heck is what he posted any different than the thread that the Commish posted in several times regarding "buying" a 9* team? Nothing like Selective Moderating to start your day off! |

1) I have nothing against CornerCoach except the fact that he continued to keep posting the same message over and over because he did not like the fact that it was moved. Like it or not there is a structure on where posts belong on this forum. I have been more than fair in many posts and always put my name on any post I move. If it close I give the benifit of the doubt to the poster. In this case there is NO DOUBT the post belongs in the suggestion forum. I stand by my actions.
2) What he posted WAS a suggestion... pure and simple. There is no selective moderating going on. The boards were reorganized the other day to make it easier on everyone to post in the right places... however when a person posts in the wrong forum, it will be moved. When a person refuses to accept that, and continues to post over and over because he does not agree with the format and rules of the forum...his posts will be deleted... . Because his original post WAS a suggestion, it belonged in the suggestion forum. His post above was his third one .. and only then did he add the stuff about the Pro League. It's still a suggestion, but it's not worth arguing about. Once you guys realize that there is certain places for certain posts to be, the better and easier it will be for everyone. This forum has "new post" indicators for all forums that recieve new posts. Regardless where you post they will show up as New... therefore it's just as well to post in the right place... the same people will read it.
Have a nice day. |

What about commishes post asking for suggestions for the 10* badge? Shouldn't that be here as well??? Or is asking for suggestions different than giving suggestion? _________________ "I can resist anything except temptation" - Oscar Wilde |

You are all FOS IMO...anyway...That's why I was never a good hall monitor in school. If you do it uniformly, then fine, but that's not the case. That in fact was my point. BTW...Grab a kleenex and wipe that brown stuff off your nose. |

Noone is perfect. I dont spend 24 hours a day watching these posts. Our jobs would be easier if it wasnt for immature people who cant or dont want to follow rules. _________________ "Oderint dum metuant" |

Yea...Yea..I got your little "read between the lines" the first time Mr. Mature. That's your opinion, and we all know what opinions are like. I don't know Corner Coach, but what he posted was more relevant and interesting to an Advanced owner than half the crap you see in that forum. And you want to go and post the "I'm sorry CJ but I'm sticking with GW on this one BS" Would I expect any different? Sheesh....I'm out...Take this post and this post and DELETE...MOVE IT....OR SHOVE IT.... I'm done. You don't have to do everything in public Shooter...GW is one thing, but you? Oh well...I guess I expect too much of people. Now, Post some smart reply and "take the high ground". You'll definately have the last word. |

Excuse me.........who started on who? You insulted me first, if you cant handle it back then thats your problem. For your information there is no longer and advanced forum, something I wanted to keep. Because of people like you and those who cant follow rules, it became something else. There used to be a day in the old forums when all you and everyone else complained about the new people posting in the wrong forums or posting things that werent relevant. Now you do it and think its ok.
You have constantly persecuted one person after another in here. Much more than you did in real. There, it was cute, now its just old. You seem to feel that each time you post something you have to out do yourself and live up to some kind of expectation that the other little trolls have of you.
Be yourself and if acting like this is youself, then I am sad for you. _________________ "Oderint dum metuant" |

its not a good question, hence the *since*
If he had posted the question before I had moved it, then it would be a good question but *since* I moved it before he asked and after you did, its not :p
By the way, I dont feel any of commish's post should be moved. While we are on the topic. I was one of those who suggested creating a "suggestion forum" because of all the pointless and stupid suggestions swamping the advanced forums. Since there is no longer an advanced, I could care less if they were there now. however, I was asked to be a moderator and one of the things that includes is moving posts to relevant areas. _________________ "Oderint dum metuant" |

By offering a suggestion and saying "What do you guys think", CornerCoach is clearly throwing this out to the community as an idea to be chewed over and discussed.
Look at the title of the forum - Bugs, Problems, Complaints and Suggestions, then read the description of the forum on the index page. I think it's pretty obvious - AndNow wants a forum with specific actionable things they can come and look at. Who fixes bugs? AndNow. Who fixes problems? Andnow and owners with experience. Who deals with complaints? AndNow. Who implements suggestions? AndNow. If I have a specific suggestion that I would like to see AndNow implement as part of the game, I would come here and post. If I have an idea that I think would add to the game but I want it discussed as a community for additional ideas or feasibility issues, I say this would not be the forum for that, until the final product is ready to be presented to commish. If Moderators start moving every post that begins with "What if", then you guys will be busy little beavers. Why don't you guys loosen up a little, and let the community help decide what they want their world to look like? That starts with dialogue, not heavy-handedness. _________________

You guys win.........as of yesterday, I and probably no others will be moving "suggestions" to the "suggestion" forum. As a matter of fact, I personally will not be moving any posts whatsoever. If you guys dont like them there, tuff, someone might not mind it there so it can stay. The moving of the posts were to keep things "cleaner" so to speak since thats pretty much what everyone Steerike! about in the old forums. _________________ "Oderint dum metuant" |

Which is a completely different animal than the one you're presenting now. This isn't about winning - this is about the ability of people in the forum to have some say as to what the forum looks like. That may change over time; Moderators need to be open to feedback too. The perception now is that the openess is not there. Add to that the confusion of multiple new forums, the confusion of multiple moderators enforcing different standards, blah blah blah ad nauseum and you have our current situation. I'm not saying you need to let the freaks run the circus, but there is a middle ground. Up to finding it? _________________

Boy Duggie that sure "should hit home" (your quote above)
Nice reminder that we live in a Democracy!
Let me, Not be one to remind people of all their wonderful post's yesterday, thanking the Vets for our freedom & Democracy
Or was that more of people saying something from their feet & not their hearts!
Absolute power corrupts absolutely
