If you have more teams than mlthmp can handle, I'll lend a hand with a couple.

I am supposing you have Windows XP on this new computer. You need to download the latest version of java and macromedia. Then make sure you have the correct version of java checked under "internet options."

Hmmm, I use Firefox and when I look under internet options, the only choice is, "disconnect and get a life". Surprised

Check your java version: http://www.java.com/en/download/help/testvm.xml

If thats fine, then uninstall/reinstall SmallBall.

Other than that, try these:

For XP corruption: http://www.visualtour.com/downloads/xp_fix.exe

AND/OR

Quote:
"C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications, Choose 'Close' to terminate the application"

1) Navigate to the REPAIR folder in C:\WINNT or C:\WINDOWS. Copy the AUTOEXEC.NT file to C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32 folder.

2) With the Windows XP CD in the drive, go to Command Prompt and type:
expand (cdrom drive)\i386\autoexec.nt_ c:\windows\system32\autoexec.nt

(cdrom drive) is the letter drive you have your CD-ROM assigned to. Usually its D:. If it asks you to replace it, click yes.

Other files that may be affected are CONFIG.NT and COMMAND.COM. The procedure is the same for the two files.

Go to the control panel and access the internet options that way. Go to the "advanced" tab and scroll down half way until you see the java options. Make sure at least one of them is checked.

can you give us some more details? What is actually happening when you try to open up the application? What do you see on the screen. Is there an error? I doubt the OS has been corrupted since the computer is new. Maybee you should try disabling your firewall .

IF you bought the computer new.....You can call the place where you bought it from. Ask for Tech support there. If that fails and you are running windows, you can call microsoft tech support.
Wish I could help you bro.

Try this.
Kindred wrote this several weeks ago. IIRC, it helped several people out of a jam.

Are you running Windows Vista on your new machine? Not all programs run very well on Vista. If you are you can try running the game in compatability mode. Go to windows help on your computer and search for the word "compatability" to find out how.
