But Florida has to play those teams, they are on their schedule every year. It just looks bad when you schedule 1AA or D-II schools in NC games. You can make the arguement of how tough their schedule is, but still playing non-D-I schools will kill your SOS points in the BCS.

Yeah! They should be scheduling powerhouses Illinois, Michigan State, Northwestern, Indiana, Temple, or some of those tough Mid-American teams instead.

SEC vs. Big Ten

Overall Combined Records:

SEC = 83 - 52 .615
Big Ten = 77 - 55 .583

Non-conference Losses:

SEC = 7
Big Ten = 11

Non-conference Combined Record (minus non-Div I-A teams):

SEC = 189 - 244 .436
Big Ten = 196 - 212 .480

Number of Non-Div I-A Opponents:

SEC = 8
Big Ten = 8

Number of Losses to Non-Div I-A Opponents:

SEC = 0
Big Ten = 2

Opposing Teams' Record in Non-conference Losses:

SEC = 58 - 17 .773
Big Ten = 87 - 32 .731

Also, I could really care less who OSU plays in the N.C. game, because to me they all look like the same game. Can the opposing team score enough points to keep up. After watching OSU shread UM's D, it just opened my eyes as to what could really be done(There could have been 60, if not for stupid mistakes). Also, the opposing team must have good lines on both sides, with balance...balance is the key.

I could show you numbers if the stats were updated, but they aren't. OSU won't likely put up those numbers on other teams with comparable defensive stats as Michigan had. And yes, there are several other teams that can keep up with them scoring. None of that really matters though....not until they play those teams (why there should be a playoff). By the way, Florida will end up playing every team in the SEC that has a winning record and Arkansas will end up playing the top 4 teams in the SEC. That's not something Ohio State can say, since they don't play Wisconsin or Purdue. Why doesn't the Big Ten add another team (may as well be Notre Dame) and play a championship game? That way teams don't get to dance around some of the conferences better teams.

You just called Purdue a top Big 10 team. ROFL.

Record wise they are. Plus, it doesn't sound so great for the Big Ten if you laugh at the thought of the 4th best team in the conference as being good.

If you don't think that Ohio State is the #1 Team in the country you may need to see a Doctor. Sorry, but you don't play TWO #1 vs #2 Match Ups, handle both of them, and then still tell me their is doubt as to who is the best team in the Nation.

Here's a Stat that you didn't include...

Ohio State vs the #2 Teams in the Country... 2-0.
Ohio State vs Anyone this season... 12-0.

OSU did what you needed to do, win their games. Now...

I don't think it's so much that I don't think they're the best team, it's that I don't think they're that much better than some other teams than some of you would like to believe. Like two years ago when I didn't think USC was that much, if any, better than Auburn. Just like last year when I didn't think USC was that much better, if any, than Texas. Besides, Michigan was the only one deserving of that #2 ranking of the two #2's they played. Texas was ranked #2 from the word go. Rankings shouldn't even come out until about mid-season. That way you don't pressure votes that unjustly puts some teams ahead of others. Don't forget Florida St. and Miami were both in the top 25 to start the season, and it took them about 3 or 4 weeks to finally drop out. That's kinda why I respect the higher ranked teams that weren't ranked at the beginning of the season more. They had to actually earn their votes, while some of the others only had to lose them them. Being an Alabama fan, I dislike Arkansas and Florida more than some of anti-SEC fans, but I don't let that affect my judgement. That's a big part of the reason the BCS doesn't work. Take the AP poll for instance. I don't think it's fair to leave a big part of a teams fate up to 65 people that not very many people can name (not even one of them). You won't ever hear me put up this much of an argument about college basketball, because most of their fate is decided by their play.
