NFL week 11 picks |
|
|
Last week was a good week for me (my best this season). I'm the only one to call the Jets winning last week. I have another interesting upset pick this week. Read on to find out. In other news, I wish I would have decided to get a playstation 3 so I could have sold it. They are going for a minimum of 2000 dollars on ebay and one went for 15000 dollars. I didn't think someone could be that desperate for a ps3 to pay 15000 dollars. Oh well, back to my picks...
last week- straight up- 11/16
against the spread- 12/16
10 week total- straight up- 88/144
against the spread- 75/144
top pick- correct (season 7-3)
upset pick- correct (season 7-3)
so here we go...
Redskins at Bucs (-3)- Redskins are starting a new quarterback this week. I still wont expect too much from the Redskins as their problems are much deeper than just the QB. Bucs win and cover.
Titans (+13) at Eagles- The Titans seem to keep games close, but they can't hold a lead (like we saw last week against the Ravens). The Eagles schedule seems a little too easy if you ask me. Eagles win but the Titans cover.
Rams (+6.5) at Panthers- I just don't see the Panthers making the playoffs this year. The Rams have a high powered offense and the Panthers have Steve Smith, who is really good but can't carry an entire offense. Rams upset Panthers.
Steelers (-4) at Browns- Steelers seem to be getting a little better. They may have no shot at making the playoffs, but they will get back on track this season. Steelers win and cover.
Raiders at Cheifs (-8.5)- When the Raiders learn to score double digits of offense, I might consider picking them. Until then, Cheifs win and cover.
Patriots at Packers (+6)- This will be a close game. The Patriots are coming off a loss to the Jets so they will be going all out this game and pull it out in the end. However, if the Patriots lose, I think they will lose the division to the Jets. This game may have a possible upset, but I take the Patriots to win but the Packers cover.
Vikings at Dolphins (-3.5)- The Vikings season has gone downhill since their good start. They will continue the downward spiral this week. Dolphins win and cover.
Bills at Texans (-2.5)- I don't like the Bills. If you look at my picks, you will see I almost never pick them because I think they have a really weak offense. The Texans at least show signs of life. Texans win ad cover.
Bears at Jets (+6) upset pick- Last week I took the Jets to upset the Patriots and I was right. The Bears are coming off a big win against the Giants. They might not be as pumped up for this game and might underrate the Jets. I see Grossman having another bad game with a couple of turnover. The Jets upset the Bears in my upset pick of the week.
Bengals at Saints (-3) top pick- Bengals are another team in a downward spiral. You can't score 41 points and lose the game, unless you are the Bengals who give up 49. The Saints have a good offense and will kill the Bengals defense scoring about 35 points. Saints win and cover in my top pick of the week.
Falcons at Ravens (-4)- A couple of weeks ago, we were crowning Vick as the best QB in the NFL after his 4 td game and 3 td game in a row. Not happening anymore (shall I mention downward spiral again). The Ravens defense is too good for the Falcons. Ravens win and cover.
Lions (+1.5) at Cardinals- I almost picked the Lions as my top pick because it's almost safe to pick any team playing against the Cardinals. This should be easy. Lions "upset" Cardinals.
Seahawks at 49ers (+3.5)- Hasselback and Alexander unlikely to play for one more week and that is good news for the 49ers. The 49ers have looked pretty decent recently and there are people in San Francisco who think they have a shot at the playoffs. I say "maybe next year", but they will take this one with a depleted Seattle offense. 49ers upset Seahawks.
Colts (0) at Cowboys- The Cowboys might have a shot seeing how the Colts fared against the Bills last week. However, I see the Colts coming out ready to play knowing that they are up against a tough team. This game may come down to a late field goal. Colts win and cover.
Chargers at Broncos (-2.5)- Earlier in my pick, I said I was worried about the Bengals defense. Well, the Chargers who played them last week didn't do much better. The Broncos defense will hold Tomlinson to his lowest total this season. The Chargers are still without Merriman who is still on suspension. Should be a good game but the Broncos will win and cover.
Monday night game:
Giants (+4) at Jaguars- In my third year of making picks, I have only gone against the Giants three times (each time including last week, I was right). I think I'll go back to them this week since the Jaguars lost to the Texans again last week. Giants upset Jaguars.
challenges always accepted and appreciated, and in this case expected... _________________ Go Giants!!! |

I wish I were a betting man, because I would put all of my money on the Colts this weekend. _________________

Boy, I hope your upset game isn't one. The Bears have a better than average chance this weekend because they just played a game there last weekend. They know the stadium now (at least Rex does) and pretty much can use that win as practice game. Hopefully (for me) it will be deja vu all over again lol. _________________ Even great teams go on losing streaks.......I've been great for several seasons now. |

The Jets will not win; neither will the Rams or the 49ers. _________________ 144359. 894. 152985. 44442. 44117.

| IMO the Chargers are going to beat the Broncos because the Chargers came from that exciting win last week and they'll have a lot of momentum coming to this game. Also, the Chargers have a lot of weapons on offense with the running game and the passing game. |
