By reading these posts I have found a few references to pitchers pitching at 120 miles an hour. I find this hard to believe, I don't seem to get close to that. Is the 120 mph pitcher a smallball myth? Post your fastest pitchers pitch speed here.... and be honest! Screenshots encouraged. My fastest was a lowly 113 mph.

112... only hit that a few times. usually 111.

120 isn't a myth if you mess with ths fps
999 isn't a myth if you mess with the ps (photoshop) Wink

The fastest pitcher I ever had, tore off out of here in a matchbox car with the Gieco Geko last week and I haven't seen them since.

The fastest I've ever seen is 121...that was a while ago and it was someone elses pitcher, though. Fastest I've ever gotten a pitcher to is 118.

I had a player that if I changed the FPS to 99999 and mimimize with a full pie, gets to 118-121 every time. But I have to add, that he isnt even one of my pitchers because he will lose it just as fast as he can gain it. The pitcher on that team( 134628) was a awesome pitcher that held pitch skill for days. He was at 110-112 and would hold it for at least 48hr every time.

My opinion.......
The best way to make sure you have your best pitcher is after they max in pitch skill.........look at the next days gains in pitch skill. If you max a pitcher at say 110-112 and wait at least 24 hours and pitch skill train again they should not get more that +3 , or it means they are losing to much pitch skill.

The fastest my pitcher has ever pitched was about 117. I have seen, at times, when I am Assitant Trainer for other teams, that have pitched as high as 122.
