Georgia - Yes, I am calling the upset. I bleed "Orange and Blue". However, Auburn's offense hasn't figured out how to turn yardage into points, and this week it bites them in the rear, 21-20

Anyone else want to change their pick yet?

UGA just went up 17-0 over Auburn still inthe first half

EDIT

make that 24-0

30-7 with 30 seconds left in the 1st half.

HORRIBLE 1st half for Auburn.

The Tiger offensive line let UGA get a sack on Cox onthe first AU play of the game and I think he may have re-aggrivated his ankle injury.. he hasnt been able to plant and get ANYTHING on the ball.

This is where coach Tubs could prove he is smart and let Field have a shot at it in the second half.. however, I'd bet my bottom dollar he'll stick with Cox that hasnt been able to do anything.

UGA has turned two blown coverage plays by Auburn into points, and the AU defene hasnt been able to stop their offense at all.

UGA whips AU 37-15
What can be said? Georgia was the better team and I wont make excuses about it.. Auburn's offense has major problems, and today their defense wasnt able to handle UGA's offensive attack.

Auburn went from a possile BCS at-large bid to a probable Peach Bowl invite.

It's official, Georgia wins it 37-15. Auburn hasn't looked that bad in while. I think all the players switched uniforms with the other team.

LOL!

nope.. as I said I wont make excuses.. but that simply wasnt the sme UGA team that lost to UK.. plain and simple.. they played hard and with emotion, and AU didnt. Period.

A part of me has to wonder if Cox didnt re aggrivate his ankle injury early on..it scares me that our coach refuses to EVER use our backup QB unless we either 30 points ahead or behind with less than 2 minutes to go.

Thats just stupid, you HAVE to be able to rely on your backups when needed.. never giving Field a chance to even throw the ball will one day bite Coach Tubs.

I'll trade Auburn's head coach and offensive coordinator for Alabama's any day. I would have had to go with the backup also after that second pick.

Shula (spelled right?) has a good staff at Alabama.. would be an about even trade.

If I was a coach, I'd have changed and tried my backup QB after pick No.2 (as you said) or AT LEAST after INT #3.. much less #4 Rolling Eyes

They've got to do something on offense differently, but I'd still take coordinator for coordinator. Alabama has been in the redzone more (43 times) than any team in the SEC, but they have only produced 15 touchdowns. That's a ridiculous 35%! You've got to be an idiot not to know there is a problem and you need to change things. Alabama has yet to do anything differently on offense, and has actually gotten worse at protecting the QB.

We must get a new coordinator before next year. Other people are calling for Shula's head, but give the man a chance to clean up the mess we brought him to clean up. We need to get a TRUE Offensive Coordinator and let Shula hand over the playcalling reigns to the OC, and we should be fine. As far as Defense, Kines is a genius.

That's kinda what I was saying before the last couple of losses. I'm really doubting him now. Yes, Kines is a genius. After the first half of the LSU game, it almost looks like the opposite. The offense has looked pretty good and defense let LSU march into the endzone on the first three possesions. That fumble with 1st and Goal just before the half is a heartbreaker. They've been doing a good job protecting J.P., they don't need to start screwing it up.

That was the craziest, nonsensical football game I ever seen. All of a sudden Georgia's receivers were catching everything thrown at them. Lumpkin all of a sudden looked like like a real running back.

Those interceptions did Auburn in though. How wild of a stat was that that at the half Georgia defensive back Tra Battle had more receptions (3 INTS) than all of the Auburn receivers combined (2).

Looked to me like Auburn came in expecting to walk all over Georgia, and just weren't fired up enough. I guess Georgia had something to prove. It definitely took a little of the sting of losing to Kentucky and Vandy away. Any time your inferior team can knock a big rival out of the National Championship picture is a really good day. Very Happy

Believe me, all of us were remembering the Tennessee game from a few weeks back. We had a big lead at half in that game as well and lost 55-33. I'm glad we didn't crumble this time.
