SEC week 11, possible spoilers |
|
|
Tennessee @ Arkansas
Georgia @ Auburn
Vanderbilt @ Kentucky
South Carolina @ Florida
Alabama @ LSU
Tennessee- Will UT lose two games in a row? I don't think so. Arkansas had as much trouble with S. Carolina as Auburn did.. and we all know what happened to Auburn shortly after that game, 28-14
Georgia - Yes, I am calling the upset. I bleed "Orange and Blue". However, Auburn's offense hasn't figured out how to turn yardage into points, and this week it bites them in the rear, 21-20
Vanderbilt - Vandy keeps their hopes for a winning season alive with a tight win in what could actually be a very good game, 17-13
Florida - The Ole Ball coach couldn't conjure up his magic against UT, and I doubt he'll be able to do-so against UF either, but again may be close, 35-28
LSU - Does anyone remember when we could actually pick Alabama in games like these? The Tide offense just hasn't been able to do squat this season (next to Auburn's, the Tide offense has been the SEC's most disappointing to me personally) 28-13
Last week was a disappointing one for me, I only managed to go 4-3 to bring my season total up to 39-14 _________________ http://sbdevils.com/forum/ and http://smallball.info The only forums you'll ever need. |

You, my friend, have gone quite insane. Which aspect of Georgia's team do you think will beat you? The lack of a QB, the lack of running backs, the lack of receivers, the lack of defense, or the lack of any kind of kicking game?
Tennessee @ Arkansas - Soooooey!
Georgia @ Auburn - Blowout. Georgia will be lucky to lose by less than 20 points.
Vanderbilt @ Kentucky - Kentucky wore themselves out last week beating up on that powerhouse Georgia team.
South Carolina @ Florida - Stupid Gators.
Alabama @ LSU - Alabama lost to Miss State. At least we didn't do that! _________________

No one in the SEC has had the trouble that Auburn has when it comes to turning yardage into points.
Auburn's defense is very very good (all though not as good as it was back in the 04 season) However, if the Tiger offense could turn yardage into points.. they'd be ranked #2 this week unbeaten. Stupid mistakes, dropped passes, penalties in the worst possible time and a flat out inability to put the ball in the end zone isn't the right combination for a winning offense.
10 points against an average at best Arkansas defense (sorry hog fans) and only 27 against Arkansas State.. The Tiger offense hasn't had a solid game since the 40-14 opening day win over Washington State _________________ http://sbdevils.com/forum/ and http://smallball.info The only forums you'll ever need. |

One must never give up on one's team my friend.. even if they do suck lol.
Don't worry.. being an Auburn fan I've endured quite a few crappy seasons, just be thankful you don't have a bunch of Alabama fans around to rub it in your face every twenty seconds.. lol
Then again.. UGA fans have GT fans to deal with.. all though I can't see them being as bad as Bama fans.. lol
UGA is still a good football team.. They were just over hyped coming into the season and haven't been able to live up to what everyone else expected them to do.. Even still, that doesn't make them a bad team. _________________ http://sbdevils.com/forum/ and http://smallball.info The only forums you'll ever need. |

Being overhyped may not make them a bad team. Losing to Vandy and UK does, though... _________________

I don't see Tennessee slowing down that running game of Arkansas. I think Tennessee will just be too much one dimensional to knock off the Hogs. (27-17)
Big rivalry, but I think Auburn is just too much for the lowly Georgia team. (28-14)
Kentucky still needs a win to become bowl eligible, but will have to wait another week I think. (23-22)
I doubt that Spurrier can pull this one off, but expect it to be pretty close. (35-30)
Alabama has owned LSU in Baton Rogue the last 35+ years and I want to say they will today too, but they need an offensive line and offensive coaching. (27- 10)

Alabama's only given up 41+ points in a game 5 times since 1971. Two of those times was in '03 when they gave up a season record 333 points. The defense is 23rd in scoring defense this season. No way they give up 41 to LSU. Not hard to tell you're a Tennessee fan. _________________ SB Devils |

Kyle I didn't pick that score because i'm a Tennessee fan. If I was that biast I would have Florida losing eveyr week by a huge margin. Bama has been very poor this season and theres not a thing you or anyone could tell me to change my mind on that topic. If we could go on the road and score 51 against Georgia before their downward spiral then LSU could destroy Bama. Only problem is LSU wont destroy anybody, they have made it close all year. Until they get a leader expect to see more losses and this is comin from a fan that watched his team with no leader go on to have a 5-6 season with no bowl for the first time since 1990. _________________

well, another sub-par weekend with a 3-2 record this time around.
Brining my season total up to 42-16.. My picks these last two weeks have been just plain horrid.
Did I call the UGA - AUB game or what? The score was ALOT worse than I had expected.. but I had the winner right .. Goodbye at-large BCS bid, and hello to the sucky Peach Bowl _________________ http://sbdevils.com/forum/ and http://smallball.info The only forums you'll ever need. |
