Nope.. not yet.

Would like to remind everyone of two things

http://smallball.com/ball/seasons/149/pro4.shtml Finished with 13 wins and 2 spots from advancing.

http://smallball.com/ball/seasons/144/pro4.shtml Finished with 13 wins and 1 spot out of advancing.

All im saying is.. it isn't over till its over.. 'I've had close calls before and I wont be celebrating until I know for certian if I will advance or not.. right now im 13-3-2 Those two games are what will determine if I advance or not.. 13 isn't a safe enough win total for celebration.

im with you, its all very well when others celebrate it, but when your team has missed b4 with the same wins, then it is frustrating, good luck though

edit, your prob has been that you have come from pl5 the season b4, so the previous season standing has beaten you, hopfuly not this time, but if you can put a couple of good seasons together, then who knows

You are due bro, you are due.

But I know what you mean. I advanced to PL1 once with only 12 wins, but with 15 wins once I did not get out of PL3. It's the nature of the game. Sometimes you just get lucky. I say your time is now.

Congrats because I know this is your season.

Looks like LCD sealed my fate earlier today with a 18-16 win over me with his New York Yankees.. Congradulations.

The team will remain in PL4

Update: Your team is 13-4 with 1 game to go against a team that hasnt initiated a game all season.

That makes your team (now ex-team) 14-4!

So, congrats are still in order here, even though you dont own the team anymore. You finally managed to break through to PL3! Banana

OK guys.. let me explain myself a little bit here.

The decision to give the team away came almost 2 weeks ago now.. I waiting until the very last day of the season because I wanted to see if a team I had trained could make it past PL4 period. If I had given them away sooner.. whoever got them would have been able to train them some, so it wouldn't have been just me. Whoever got them had totaly NO pie yesterday when they removed the Holiday.. probably not even enough to train the pitcher any at all lol.

I posted that I was "stepping away" on Sept 29th or 30th (cant remember which) on the AcA forums... I just wanted to wait a little longer before doing it here to give myself that one last season to try to get over that PL4 hurdle.. if that team had gone 18-0 I still would have given them away..

Don't roll your eyes at me or get onto me too heavily.. I have a very good reason fro having to let SB go for awhile.. which is a sad thing seeing how I've been at it for over 4 years straight.

See, awhile back i went to the doctors office (which turned into a visit to the ER for some tests, exrays, MRI, etc) and they thought I may have had Colon Cancer.. which now does turn out to be the reality.(even though I'll only be 25 on Haloween). so needless to say right now Smallball is having to take the backseat for awhile..

If there is a game to return to later on.. I'll be back training again.. just right now I do not feel like it

Yeah they think so.

I'm going to hang around here as long as the forums are active.. I just dont feel like training right now.. thats why 212806 went on Holiday as soon as I played all their PL games last season..

Its actually been kinda nice not having to train

Sorry to hear about your health Mike, especially for such a young guy. But because you are a young guy, you will have the strength to beat it. They say a team takes on its' coaches personality. Your teams were always tough to play and tougher to beat. Be tough in your fight now to beat this disease and it will be BETTER than winning PL1!! Good luck and hope to back real soon.

P.S. The STL is still the best league ever!!!

sorry to have "rolled my eyes at you" I just could not understand why anyone would make such a RASH decision so quick especially you mike, I know that I myself put in alot of time and effort with you on a personal basis to try to get you to advance and finally you did and seemed to throw it away...but I did not know of your past announcements or your illness. and I am sorry for going a little hard on you. if you decide to come back in the future send me a pm and I will give you a great 12 lefty low ID team you can train..you will be missed in the proleagues I used to love playing against your teams (it was such an easy win Wink )

Good luck Michael. If you have any questions please feel free to ask. I am still undergoing treatments as you know and will be glad to tell you what is going to happen. I know what you mean by SB taking a backseat but a place you can go to get away mentally is a good thing.
