I just got a new comp today. In some ways its great, its much faster than what i had before, but with smallball it doesnt work in DT. In ST its fine, but DT no luck. I did a search for ones with similar problems , and tried all the suggestions but no luck with those. I have tried to change every display setting, and even tried the old version of DT I have from long ago, but nothing still works.

DT shuts down just as it is about to open. Any help I can get would be greatly appreciated. I know its just an AMD Sempron 3300 Processor, but Its not like I dont have the space for it, its a 200 gig harddrive. I tried to update the driver settings, and direct x, and java, but they all say i have the latest version, so if anyone can make any suggestions that would be great.

Right click on ther shortcut you use for starting SmallBall.
Left click on properties.
Change the target to "C:\My Games\SmallBall\start.jar"

thanks for your suggestions guys, i have all ready tried both of those things but still no luck. everything is updated, and i changed it to start.jar, and made sure my firewall would allow it. funny thing is i dont even get an error message. i open it and it closes right away. But to initiate games, and the ST trainer everything works fine

To use the start.jar in the shortcut you have to download and install this vervion.
SmallBall with Java Virtual Machine from this link:
http://www.smallball.com/ball/download/index.shtml

Make sure you uninstall smallball and install the Java Virtual Machine version. Check the trouble shooting section at the bottom of the screen for the Java version. It would also help to make sure you have the latest version of Java.
