Don't post much but I do watch what's happening here. I spend most of my time playing Shot Online after my teams are trained.

Hey all,
Here is my latest Commish Update:
Commish is not discussing Smallball on "Oprah"
Commish is not in my Driver's Ed Class
Commish is not "gellin'"
Commish is not lighting a bag of dog poop on fire, putting it on someone's doorstep, ringing the doorbell, watching the person step on the bag to put out the flame, then realizing that there is poop on their shoe
and
Commish is not watching reruns of "Lost"
I'll keep ya posted. _________________ Can I get an amen from the bobbleheads?

Or maybe he will close down smallball after he had made something better....like bigball or something. _________________

It's been that time for a long time. Question is, will the call be heard (I'm guessing it already was, for a short time anyway). _________________

That's a great point. I bet his paycheck from paypal just went way down, and he's curious why. I can only hope this motivates him to do something positive for SmallBall (i.e. deliver on purchased items).
Please, be respectful and maybe he won't be discouraged from showing himself. We need to welcome him, and not attack him. |

Nope...just purchased 2 HT's and they were delivered instantaneously through paypal. Not sure why he came and poked around. Not long enough to wade through his PM's that's for sure. _________________

Wasn't he working on a deal to get mobile Smallball onto Nokia phones? I wonder if the Nokia-EA Sports recent contract news has any kind of impact at all on him. Him as in the one who owes a lot of his customers both an explanation and either fulfillment of an order or a refund.
Even if he's been on the forums lately, he hasn't read one PM I've sent him yet... in the past four months. _________________ XsT | TA# 1.1 | -.- | XXI | $2856.82 (10/27)

Well, I do know one thing...and that's that I am playing THIS game for personal enjoyment at this time, with no desire to further any plans HE may make for the future at this point. We don't owe, nor does he deserve at this point, anything more. If this game comes to an end at some point in the near future, so be it, it's for the best. If it gets sold, GREAT! I'm all on board. If he comes back, and expects that we will simply forgive and forget the absolute and total disregard of this game and his obligations for support and ownership during the past 6 months...then he has another thing coming. I know that if he does return, and simply expects to continue as if this absence never happened, I will simply quit immediately, and never touch this game again. If another product is ever produced by HIM, I will not touch it either. Anyone who does this to his customers...those that supported HIS product for so long, does not deserve our support for ANY future endeavors.
That's my 2 cents. Flame me all you want, but I think that that is more than fair. I only hang in there in hopes the game gets sold...or I can be around to see it shut down. _________________

Kindred, you will receive no flame from me. I completely agree with everything you just stated. The fact is that there is no public support and this is a business. All that is needed is a simple explanation. It's very little to ask for. _________________

I personally like to think that the game and the community are two seperate things.
The forums have never been down (unless maintenance) except for that 3 day sapn that the server's HDD was lost. During that time, I created a temp forum so people still had a place to go.
The game has been down many times (recent Football incident)
The support for the forums has always been good IMO. people ask things to be done, usualy they are in the same day (If I deem them needed)
The support for the game is, well lacking to say the least.
---------------
The reason i am posting this is simple.... the game might not be able to be saved, but the community can be.
is this something people would be interested in seeing, or would they rather just see it all tumble when the time comes? _________________ 11 time PL1 Champion |

The forums have never been down (unless maintenance) except for that 3 day sapn that the server's HDD was lost. During that time, I created a temp forum so people still had a place to go.

I was thinking about posting something like this but everytime I started, I thought it sounded stupid; thanks for doing it for me I'm not sure what the focus point of the community would be if Smallball were gone, but it would be a real shame if everything just went away with the game. Maybe a replacement game is the answer? I don't know, but if it keeps the community going I'm behind it 99% (1% cut out just in case it's a stupid idea ). _________________

I would never try to confuse the 2. In my opinion, the forums are an absolute pleasure. I love the community and I would be very sad in losing many many people I like to call "friends". I'll be here (SB Forums) long after the game dies and likely as long as it exists. Whether it is a post of generosity, intelligence, strategy, flame or just something comical, I think the community always keeps me entertained. I enjoy communicating every bit as much and if not more than playing the game (depending on whether I'm winning or losing ) _________________

GW, I personally think the forums should stay. This is a very tight group here and who knows what the future will hold. At least if the game does fold. (I hope it doesnt) leave the forums up for at the very least a week or two so we as a community can get some e-mail, snail mail, phone numbers etc. before we all lose touch for good. I would like to see the forums stay up period. _________________ "The desire to be a champion is not nearly as persuasive as the commitment to be a champion" |

I don't know if I agree that the game and forums are two different things entirely. The focus of the forums is SmallBall the game. I would like to see the forums continue after the game dies though. The forums probably would not be as popular as it has been, but that is not necesarily a bad thing. _________________

I guess I was trying to say that the forums are well run and the game isn't. I'm sure you knew what I meant. _________________
