Lefties |
|
|
Hi all,
Total n00b here. Been reading around and it's obvious that lefty players are highly valued. I saw teams for sale adversided as having 12 lefties! My question is why? The only explanation I saw is that most teams have the best fielders set up for right handed hitters, but obviously if you get to the Pro league and it's all lefties, you'll adjust your defense.
Also, are lefty pitchers also much better? Nice game, having fun so far. _________________

Pitchers always pitch right-handed.. period.
The difference is that a lefty (with runners on 1st and 2nd) has a HUGE hole there to knock the ball through.. which (in theory) means more hits, more runs scored, more wins. _________________ http://sbdevils.com/forum/ and http://smallball.info The only forums you'll ever need. |

| I also think there are several stadiums that cater better to lefties. Like Ocean Park, it's tough to go into Ocean Park and play a 12 lefty team when you are loaded with righties. They have a short porch and a lower fence, which means more runs for them. |
