Didn't know where else to post this but Jon, if you're still around you should create a player optimizer for football. Even though the users of it are limited. But since there are so many skills in football a lot of people are lost on how to set their teams and I believe it may be a reason why more people don't play, they don't know what they're doing but if you created something like the PO for Football it'd collect a greater following, or anyone since I don't think Jon's around anymore. Yeah so..

Hmmmm.

there is an area in the Smallball.info forums under "SmallBall.info Applications" called What's Next?

Im not sure if he'll notice this here, may want to post it there also (he may notice it sooner)

The idea has come up before. There are a couple reasons why this has never been made. The main reason why is I know nothing about soccer. I tried it, didn't like it. No clue who goes where or even how to move them around. No clue what the training areas are and no desire to figure it out. I just don't get it. =) I've looked at it and the text recognition engine I built into the PO would need to be completely overhauled to work with soccer. The other reason is Time & Money. The PO was made for me and was released for everyone else because thats just what I like to do. The PO for soccer just doesn't rank high on the want to do scale because the time needed to make it takes away from projects that generate money. The other applications I've made were either for my own personal use and I released them or were exercises I did to try and figure out how to do something else.

So, that being said, the PO for soccer won't happen anytime soon unless something moves it up on the big list of things to do.
