i am not babysitting people that can't make a decision and live with it anymore.

Before in the past, when people wanted to quit the forums, they would send me a PM asking for me to delete them, I would ask "Are you sure?" Then "Get back to me in a few Days to confirm", then I would try to talk them out of it, or just offer to change passwords so they could not log in, etc.

NO MORE!!!

If you send me a PM requesting to be deleted.. it will be done as soon as I read it...

I don't want to hear "Well I did not mean it", "It was a spur of the moment decision, I changed my mind"

I don't care...

Don't come crying to me if you happen to be reading a post or your PMs and poof you are gone after you send me a PM..

I will not restore your account, PMs, post count, NOTHING.

So Make sure you KNOW that is the decision you want before you make it.

/rant over

Just out of curiousity, why do you delete them at all? Seems to me it would be easier for you if you'd just leave them there and if they wanted to quit so bad, they could just stop coming to the forums...

As unofficial forum President, I can firmly stand behind that policy.

I never understood why people would want their accounts deleted....I could see banned so they couldn't visit anymore, but deleted is just...*shrugs*

He's talking about people PMing him asking to delete their account, and then changing their mind. From now on once he sees one of those PMs he is not even going to ask them, he's just going to delete their account because they asked. Confused

This is one of those "I hope he doesn't look in this thread because it doesn't apply to him" posts, isn't it? Wink

my thoughts exactly. part of me thinks it's a cry for attention, like some six year old who won't carry on with the game cause they don't have the ball. all they really want is twenty responses saying; "oh please don't go ... we love you so much."

there'll always be those who say it's an addiction and having their account deleted stops them from logging on. poppycock! addictions are all in the head, if you're strong willed enough you can beat it. anyway, what's to stop them from creating a new account?
