I have lost enthusiam to play the game, to view the reasons look at the Thread Congrats XST and Stormy. With the lack of respect the management has for any of our concerns without even a response to the issues, and not giving us a clear cut champion every season. I have to take a break. Anybody that is interested or a clan that would like to train as a comunity team, Please post here. I will make a desicion on Sunday night.

I would love to put my hand in this one. I have lots of free time and can put lots of effort into this hard working team that you put lots and lots of effort to try to make them the best they can be.

Well, I would like the team to train.
It's been my goal to reach PL 1 with a good team. So far it has been a long road for me and I am currently in 5th PL. I havent been any further and I would love to train a good team for your/my accomplishments. If that happens it may not be my team, but I sure will feel proud that I did it.

I know that this team has a lot of history but I think I can live up to that and keep them going. Making new history as the seasons go by. Showing the world what the Mob can do! Twisted Evil

I'd love to train a winner! I have AT'd a lot of teams and gotten them really far...I'm like the Drew Rosenhuase or Scott Boras of ATing, I'm one of the most available, protective, fair, and just plain good ATers out there. I'd love to train them!

Hey

TsT is looking for a third community team (after we get 82826 to 10*, it's coming soon) and The Mob would be perfect. PM me about it. Thanks. Very Happy

Sorry, to hear you are taking a break Wiz. I'm sure I could toss them in the JON stable, but I'm sure there are many other people out there that would do a better job. Best I've done is got to PL2 and got owned big time. =)

This is terrible. It's sad to see such a great trainer and community member leave smallball. I hope you return soon. I'd also like to AT your team if you would allow me, only until you eventually decide to come back. Just some info on me, my only team currently is 486746, They are 9* and were in PL3 last season but dropped down to PL4.

Well anyway, going to miss you regardless if you come back or not. Sad

Bye,

I have nothing against anyone else who posted here, but this is probably the best course of action.

wiz.. you probably have no clue who I am. anyway

You are IMO one of the very best in this game. I put you above most of those others tag as "the best"

Its sad to see a champion leave.. esp under the current conditions.

I commend you for the way you train, and for you team and your championships.

Smallball has truly lost a champion.. hate to see that happen. best of luck finding a good AT for your team.

I am with Nelmo, you should sab or retire your team. What makes the Mob great is your training. I would hate to see someone else take over the team and make it a shadow of itself. Even a great trainer would screw it up because they wouldn't know your team. If you don't want to sab or retire them then the community option would be best (imho). It is a lot easier to figure one player out than 12, so they wouldn't suffer as much on the learning curve. Just one man's thoughts.

i agree with everyone else that said you should either Sab or Retire the team, The Mob is a legendary team and i would hate to see them lose there winnings ways if the team goes to someone that doesn't know the team as well as you do.

Note : this is not meant to offend anyone that applies for the AT position

I go with the sab/retire option as well... and if Nelmo's sab expires and the team is going to continue untrained... I've got a sab for the next 6 months.

I have to disagree.. and I only say that because Majik agrees.

J/K! lol

seriously though I do agree.. I would outright retire them if I knew 100% for sure I'd never return to train them again.. if I thought there was even the slightest chance I might come back I'd sab them..

Besides... if you did put them on sab.. and then decided not to come back afterall then you could always retire them..

Another vote for Sabbing them. They just wouldn't be the same with someone else training them. And if Majik's Sab wears off I have one I can give you for month's 13 - 18.

Although it sure would make a new player's day. Razz

What are you ganging up on me for Sad Mad ! I'm just trying to help out! My Clan needs a Community Team, he's leanding his team to somebody, I'm a good trainer and can take care of it while he's gone...with attitudes like these I see why he's leaving Evil or Very Mad . Don't judge so quickly my friends, "a good deed punished is a punishment unjustly served", just because you think something doesn't make it true, just because you want something and you can't/don't get it doesn't mean you should ruin it for everyone else, just because you have been given authority doesn't mean you can abuse your "power", so why don't you back off!

Chill. Nobody is out to get you. Some people just have a respect for Smallball history.

It looks like you already have a community team for your clan and just want a better one. Why not make your own mark in the game instead of piggybacking on the success of someone else?

Neither myself or jon ever stated in this thread we want the team. I'm sure what we all WANT is for Wizard to not leave! or for him to atleast leave the door open for himself if he ever decides to come back.

And exactly what "power" are you talking about? Hmmmm? unless I missed something I don't have any power in these forums! I help with trades in the trade areas like the other TAs do. We dont have any kind of power around here so what are you talking about?

Sure! you're right! all of us that want him to not let all his hard work go to waste is exactly why he is leaving! We're all bad people for wanting him to stay Evil or Very Mad

From 1 Chicagoan to another, I think what MW really wants is for his team to remain in the upper PL's 1-3, and trained with trust and honesty, I beleive MW doesn't just want an anybody to AT just to take a serious look at a 4 time Champ and try to disect training.

I also beleive MW does need some time away from this game, 2 weeks a month, or even longer.

The respect that SB has for this team doesn't deserve to be Sabed or Retired, It needs to be handled by an AT for THE TRUE OWNERS welcome back(MW)

I will AT this team until your presence again, If I have time issues, I will keep names the same but put numbers 1-12 and allow SBD community train a #

If The Chicago Mob wins a Championship as me at AT, your Getting a PM, to get your tail back.

I'll do this at so-called long term(A few seasons) but this community will deeply miss the MOB.

Remember MW, we lost TeamSquarepants a few seasons back. This community doesn't need that.

Also MW, Holiday tickets only cost $2 and good for 14 days, You can use these tickets from season to season, but initiate your PL games all in day begginning of the ticket or end of the ticket Wink

2 cents worth:

Retire. The Mod is your creation, why let anybody or any group mess with it. You can always come out of retirement when you're ready to come back.

Allof my teams used to play the mob. theywere the 1st all lefty team I ran across. You were my "yardstick". My teams have only managed to win a few times against you. The Mob is legendary in smallball. Please consider the sab or retirement options. No one is going to be able to keep them great. Just my 2 cents worth. Cool

Sab/Retire. My opinion. You created them, their skill, their success, their legacy. No one else but you can uphold it so retire them with your 100% undivided mark on them.

Another vote for sab. The Mob is an important part of SB history and to make them a community team would just be a bad idea. There are a lot of other teams out there that communities can use.

I never said eveyone in here had some sort of "power" and the people I was talking about don't have to have "power" in this forum, just somewhere. I'm saying you got some sort of "power" and think that because you have that title it gives you the right to pick on the little guy...

You sir, are are way off the mark.

I have no power, no authority over these forums (or anyone here) in any way. And get over this "little guy" stuff. To me it sounds like you have a chip on your shoulder and sorry, but thats your problem.

No one here wants wizard to leave, but all you can think about is getting ahold of his team.

If you want to train a "winner" as I said before train one.

You posted that you wanted to AT the team, fine. Then however, you've made several more posts trying your best to make sure wizard actually lets someone AT them instead of putting them on sab.

Get the chip off your shoulder, grow up, and have some respect!

Also, if Wizard decides to sab the team.. and it goes further than the sabs thats already been offered in this thread.. I'll throw one in the pile too!

Ok. MarketWizard said specifically if he decides to get an AT it'll be me. Its his decision so we should stop arguing and let him choose I guess. Very Happy

I think I would throw my vote in there for sabbing them.

Not saying there aren't some great trainers out there that could do a fine job, but I would rather see a team with such a rich history sabbed or retired then take any chance.

My 2 cents is to sab them. I'll gladly throw a ticket into mix, also.

Please sab or retire them hate to see a great team, I look up to go to ruins with someone who has not earned the right to be in PR1. Just my two cents worth.

they will lose your touch if you let them be AT'd and your touch is what made them what they are

well i also think you should sab then... heck even holiday then. perhaps just 2 weeks would be enough of a cool of Smile ...but i would understand that if you are going to be gone for an extended period, you don't want to drop out of the PLs or anything so maybe an AT would be best.... but if you iniate all your games tuesday when the list comes out and holiday them it would give you about 12 or 13 days break.. then decided sab/retire/AT.

i hope you stay around a long time! Very Happy but i see you may need a little 'cool off period' right about now.
