How many of you actually use your bench players on a normal basis? I feel that the bench is one of the most under appreciated tools in footy. As I browse through team pages I see that nobody really rotates their bench players in alot, and that bugs me (not really, it just sounds convincing Wink ). Enough of my ranting, what are your guys' opinions on te subject?

There are some players that aren't even worth the Bench spot on certain teams. And on a couple of my teams - those happen to be the 4 that are on there, so they rarely get rotated in.

For my other teams, I rotate at least 4-6 times a season a few players. I feel that the bench in football is much different from baseball. In FB the bench is there to keep bad players from playing in games - not to help them develop their poor skills into average. For some reason, even though someone told me AndNow tweaked it a while ago, benchies never seem to catch up with the rest of the team. Also, they lose happiness very easily. Sometimes you don't even need to go over 24 hours for them to lose a happiness level. However, as it's been noted before - FB is on AndNow's "Dead to Us" list, so nothing will be done about it.

I have never undersdtood why everyone doesn't use their bench players. I guess it is just habit from when they couldn't hold skill well enough to keep up.

I have trained my bench players from the start, and never stopped. Since the skill loss was lowered, I have changed players at least every other day.

Out of three teams I have only one player that can't stay in the low 90's in kicking. All the rest stay 95-99 most of the time, even goalies.

Other than a few that won't hold reaction that well, I am always moving them on and off the bench.

Tim...

I use the bench, but the more I use it, the more it seems I'm not getting enough out of it. I always seem to have a couple players on each team that never really meet my criteria and make it off more than a couple times a season. *shrugs*

I used to use the bench regularly but when I hit 9*, the bench players just never caught up to the starters despite the extra pie. Don't know if it's different now.

i rotated my bench quite a bit last season.
i dont do it after each training session, maybe after every 2 or 3, then i'll rotate.
at the moment, i've found the best players for my team, and the ones that arent as good are on the bench, so i have my own way with the team. Wink
