By far one of the most disappointing games I've ever seen Crying or Very sad

And Bas.. I'm sorry.. is that "FINALLY" knocking? Oh yeah, FINALLY the Bengals can put a good team together (I've always liked Carson though - good, quiet guy).

You can't say they suck since they've been one of the most consistent NFL teams in History Rolling Eyes

What are you talking about it says it right there on the topic score inside. ...... leave him alone he didnt spoil it for anyone =/... yeah the steelers aren't that great. Neither are the seahawks but thats one of the teams I think the colts will beat on their way to 16-0, Jacksonville is a win without byron leftwich whos out for the season. The only chance (I believe) they lose the rest of the way is when they are at home against the chargers. The other 2 games are tennesee and arizona and not even a miracle will allow those teams to beat the colts.

Don't get excited, you guys are running into the playoffs no better than 3rd best (at best skill wise maybe even worse) in the AFC. That and your team has no playoff experience with a young quarterback. You guys are 2-3 years at least until you can win a superbowl.. most likely 2. And even then your chances of acctually winning the superbowl are not that great assuming you get better each year and have an elite team, this due to injuries, let downs, and the any given sunday theory. I really love your offense though. I feel that you guys should solidify that defense to "champion levels" and you could just win it all with having Carson Palmer with playoff exp (and the rest of the guys) Right now I can see you losing to pittsburg (although your a bit better you CAN still lose), san diego (they are better than they look they have a brutal scheduel and in my opinion CAN win the superbowl this year, and the juggernaut that is the indianapolis colts (you may beat them if peyton gets the chocksies again.) But you guys wont be playoff ready to beat everyone. You'll be elite soon Ill tell you that though you guys have the tools.

Why is it that the teams with the least amount of turmoil and controversy are the teams that 'aren't that great'.

Hmm.. Let's see, Steelers went 15-1 last season which could very well beat the Colts' record this year, but I guess they're not that great.

Also, the Seahawks are 9-2... that's only 2 more losses than the Colts, and I'm pretty sure that the object of the game is to get WINS. But again, they must not be that great since they're only behind the Colts in Record. Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

bro, the steelers ARENT that great. They are good not great. They aren't on the Colts level trust me. Teams have good years you have to understand football better. The steelers the year before last didn't make the playoffs. Fact of the matter is they ARENT a great team. A very above avreage one.. but they arent on the colts level and without homefield advantage pittsburg wont win anything this year.

Dan, its time you start looking at "what have you done for me lately" And the steelers have proven to be very beatable with a YOUNG quarterback. Let that guy develop. Theres a reason why pittsburg got blown out of the water on monday night football in a huge game. They ARENT that great. Good. that is all.

Funny thing is they may not even make the playoffs.. if you acctually noticed they are 7-4 with 2 straight losses. Thats not great bro.
Funny thing is if the playoffs ENDED today they arent in the playoffs.. I bet you didn't know that huh? They are tied with The chargers who have won 4 in a row to get to 7-4 for the last playoff slot, and there are also tied with kansas city.. its a 3 team race for the playoff slot, this is assuming jacksonville sneaks in (8-3).. so the steelers have lost 2 straight and are at 7-4 ... dan they may not even make the playoffs now for whatever greatness you think they are.

Thats a knuckle head arguement. The line in vegas for the eagles seahawks game is only 3 and a half seahawks. This with the Eagles fielding 3 back up offensive lineman, a back up quarter back, and no Terrell Owens. Just use your head bro just use your head. The vegas experts dont believe in them (and neither do I)

MORE IMPORTANTLY they play in the weak NFC and havent been tested all year and have posted losses. When I say NOT THAT GREAT I dont mean bad. I just mean they arent GREAT. With losses against WASHINGTON (total wanabee team) and Jacksonville (just OK)

Their only wins coming to: Atlanta, Arizona, St.Louis, Houston, Dallas, Arizona (again), St.Louis(again), San Fransisco, and the giants (could of lost 3 times except the giants kicker stinks)

So ... where have the seahawks had a TOUGH game. None. Bud, they played the 49ers and won by 2 points.. I want you to ponder that JUST FOR A SECOND OK?

One thing I know is football. And let me impart this to you, seahawks. Not that great. Overrated won't win superbowl even if it comes out of the NFC.

Explanation for 9-2 ? They play the 49ers, Cardinals, and Rams twice a year each.. that my friend is how they are 9-2, we call that a cake walk scheduel. They also got to play Houston the worst team in the league.. right there just playing terrible teams thats 7 wins. Can you say Aberation? Seahawks finish 12-4 knocked out in playoffs and exposed.

Let's get one thing clear here - I'm not your bro or bud and never will or intend to be.

A win is a win, a schedule is a schedule - it's not like the Seahawks Management bribed the NFL to give them that. Fact of the matter is that they have WON the games. Give me an argument where winning isn't important. That's right - you have none (unless you're the Dolphins coach).

And yes, I'm well aware that if the season ended today (which it won't) the Steelers would be out of a playoff berth - did you also know they have a better record than the Patriots (6-5) who are still considered great, and if the season ended today (which it won't) they would make the Playoffs. Where's the justice?

You made mention of the Steelers having no chance away from home - big deal, real football was meant for outdoors - against the elements - type of in your face playing. Not some wimpy indoor artificial sound stadium - that's one of the keys to the Colts' success. You put them at Heinze stadium and they get cold and lose big. I gaurantee it.

winning is good, barley defeating inferior teams and not having a real talented team is bad.

BTW stop living in the past FOR GOD SAKES... go on and patch your mind up with the latest version of the NFL. The patriots are banged up defensivly and are a bad team as constituted. This is the NFL it changes from year to yeah. Hell, why not just be shocked when someone beats the 49ers.. they won a lot of superbowls? Thats not THIS YEAR.. this year beating the patriots is expected.

Best 3 teams AFC are Denver, Chargers, Colts those are the 3 who can acctually win.. everyone else is a tier below. Nothing wrong with that.

I never said the steelers didnt play good away from home. Home field advantage in the playoffs is huge, without that the steelers cant make any noise with THIS team.

"Patriots (6-5) who are still considered great" Your a moron.. no one considers that team a contender they can bounce back next year but ANYONE whos ever watched football knows the patriots arent a great team this year. Too many injuries on defense seriously who the hell says the patriots are a great team this year? Wake up your living in last year. If the patriots are a great team then so are the Eagles right? (yeeeeeah) Injuries again.

"You put them at Heinze stadium and they get cold and lose big. I gaurantee it." heh.. why did you think I said the steelers cant win unless they have home field? because I know this. Force those big dome teams / sandiego team (plays warm whether) into the elements and the steelers have a chance. As its going to be (in the real world which Im living in) is going to be this ... listen very closly.

The colts will play the entire playoffs in a dome... including the superbowl in a dome. By the end of the season you'll look back at what I say and say "wow he was right"

Facts:

1. Pittsburg knocked out early or may not make playoffs.
2. New England (yeah that great team) miss the playoffs.
3. Seahawks exposed in playoffs although having homefield will have nearly no chance to win this year and could be upset early before they make the superbowl.
4. If the Colts can beat Denver they will win the superbowl. Denver I believe is the toughest match up the Colts have to face yet. Denver will force the colts into a shoot out, and peyton manning is known for throwing many interceptions in the playoffs (he chokes). If denvers Elite offensiveline can handle The colts Defensie line Peyton will be forced to BEAT Denver with his arm. I don't believe he can. This game will determine whether or not the Colts win the superbowl. However I can also see Peyton doing just enogh (only if the colts D-line gets pressure if not peyton will lose this shootout)

Funny thing is.. I believe THEN if Denver can beat the colts its going to be a toss up between Sandiego and Denver.

Listen its too early for superbowl champion predictions my head hurts.. Ill make that later.. likely the colts.. right now Ill tell you whos the real deal this year. (playoffs)

The superbowl champion will come out of the AFC it will be Chargers, broncos, or colts. Cincinnati isnt ready with the young QB and pittsburg wont stand a chance on the road against the elite teams in the AFC with their young QB either. (bad records do that to a team).

Seahawks will NOT win the superbowl. Period.

Mark my words. 3 true champion contenders this year, chargers, broncos, colts. No other team can win this year.

Do you think that when the Colts lock up home field through the playoffs that Dunge will go for 16-0, and let Manning and all of his other starters play straight through the regular season? I would think that he would be more concerned with winning that Super Bowl.

Personally, I think he should go for it, but you have got to know that that Super Bowl title has got to be his primary focus.

I say go for it. The O-line protects him from big hits (usually) - when is the last time Peyton was out for an injury? Go for it, records where made to be broken!

Got Manning?

Well I guess it's not really a record since 16-0 has already been done but they would only be the second team in history to do it. Just hope that they don't go 16-0 and not make the superbowl, that would be embarrasing.

I think he'll go for it. He shouldn't sit the big names. That would be a huge mistake. Keep them reeling. This team is awesome, and they're on a roll. You don't sit your stars, because they could lose their edge. Madden made a comment last night that the Colts have had the same starters all season long. Not only are they good, they're good at staying healthy. This Colts team is one of the best I've ever seen.

I'd love to see the best Def in the NFL up against the best Off in the NFL. I'd like to see Peyton get his gizzard hammerdropped to, I don't think he's any better than some other QB's out there. Sure he has a better O-line to protect him that gives him more time. People are always posturing about individual stats when they should focus on team accomplishments. Regardless, Indy is good, I won't say they aren't, but that hasn't seemed to make much of a difference for them come playoff time, they always seem to choke when the title is on the line.

Now, just so I can stand up for my own hometown team, the patriots are banged up, beat up, and in a serious case of talent drain, for ANY team to win 6 games with the people they are fielding is a heroic effort. Stop hating on them just because they've been the ones winning. I hate when people do that, unless you are hating on the Yankees, in that case please continue Smile
(That's just for chuckles because I'm a Red Sox fan, though I will admit a bit of guilty pleasure in the fact that the Yanks haven't won the whole shibang in a good while.)

As a huge Pittsburgh fan I hate to see them lose, but as a Tennessee fan I love to see Peyton win....I was rooting for the Steelers last night hoping they sent Peyton home with a L but oh well, I don't doubt their skills though, any team that can do well starting the season with a 3rd string runninback and a QB that outs his body on the line almost every week yet still manages to walk away with all his body parts is a fun and impressive team to watch. So Peyton keep it up and go 16-0...still wosh they had that one loss though Laughing

Actually, they would be the first team in history to go 16-0 in the regular season. The 72 Dolphins went 14-0 (before the NFL changed the schedules to 16 games).

As for whether or not they should bench Peyton in the final game, I think they will, but they'll still have a good chance of winning it. They'll be playing Arizona, and I think even the Colts' backup players have more talent than the Cardinals.

I see you live in Alabama. That explains it right there. You would probably watch if you ahd a team to root for.
It's only the spoiled players in the NFL that you hear about so frequently. Most of them have serious class and work ethic. Well, they all have work ethic, but the NFL is a great organization.
