Do you watch the WWE? And if so, which show do you watch?

(If you don't watch, you can also vote for the show you think is better.)

Also, to get some posts going too, post who you think is the greatest, or should be the next champ.

I think HBK Shawn Michales should.

Where's the "Wrestling is fake and utterly pointless" option? None just doesn't quite do it for me.

I saw it 1 time in 2003 and thought this is just plain stupid and fake.
The cowboy dude got a painting of some kind and for some reason it was speciel so he took it with him to the fight and he had it in the arena and the big FAT GUY broke the painting than they exchanged some scripted words and fake fought like sissys. I watch it sometimes. The "Friday Night Smackdown" or whatever it is. I still don't believe it's even 1% real... It's so fake it's sadly pathetic, but I still watch it sometimes. It's fun. It's like watching gymnastics. Those moves they do are really cool. If only any of that was real.

I dont think the issue is whether or not its fake. Get over yourselves, guys...You know its fake, we know its fake, they know its fake. Its not like you're bringing up some new revelation or anything.

Its fake, just like a movie is fake or a television show is fake or a novel is fake. In other words, its ENTERTAINMENT, and entertainment is SCRIPTED. Why not jump on the Star Wars thread about how all of that is fake? We all love Family Guy, but guess what? Thats fake too!

That being said, its been several years since I've watched religiously. I happened to stumble on RAW for their first show back on the USA network, which was really cool with all the look-back pieces. If I'm flipping channels and happen to catch it, I'll keep checking in on whats going on. I like watching TNA when I can find it, they've got an ECW vibe going, which is way cool.

The best explaination I ever heard for WWF, WWE, RAW, or whatever is that it's a "soap opera for guys." I still choose not to watch.

Idiot. You don't have the balls or the talent to do half of the things they do in the ring, so I recommend you keep your ignorant little mouth shut.

As Garthug said, it's entertainment. It's not exactly my cup of tea anymore as their attempted stories are just not all that interesting, but that still shouldn't discount the performers for what they do... To wrestle it takes showmanship, and athleticism. You can't just throw any old jerk into the ring and have him put on a good show.

I don't understand peoples gripe with wrestling, the harlem globetrotters don't really compete in basketball games, but people still find it entertaining. The object isn't for them to go out there and settle their real life difference, any idiot knows that nobody in the right mind would ever use a suplex in a real fight. The stupidity of some people in the world really amazes me... It really does, you people need to think before you go and completely spit in the face of something that some people spend their whole lives on.

As for TNA I was a fan of it a long time ago when I got it on satelite. When it came to cable TV here and I started watching it regularly I kind of noticed that they don't really build up any of their matches, they just go really extreme, really fast. It's nice that you don't have to wait for all the good moves, but it kinda makes the whole atmosphere seem kinda silly.

hey garbageman wrestling is garbage. all it is, is cheap entertainment. im not saying that what they do doesnt take athletic ability but its all just a stupid freak show. You said coach caleb doesnt have balls do do that, well dont you even try to pin that on me. I take martial arts, a REAL individual sport that isnt for show. when i spar its to win and kick and hit, not to make stupid gymnastic moves and act like im beating up some one with chairs. Come on. Wrestling WWF style is TRASH. Real wrestling is the kind you see in highschool where you actually take down and slam people, pin them for compettition and sport not for FAKE CHEAP entrertainment.

You still manage to call it all fake... Yet you don't seem to understand that they actually DO hit eachother. This is including all the chair moves. As for taking martial arts... That's great for you, but that doesn't change the fact that your points are completely irrelivant. I don't understand why people can be so hard on wrestling and not have the same stiff judgment towards other television programs. Think of a Jacky Chan movie where he does all the stunts himself... People see that and they think it's totally awesome, but when it's all part of a regularly scheduled TV show and they try to put more story behind it it becomes crap. WWE wrestling is watched by millions of people around the world for a reason.

THE WWE ****ING SUCKS. no matter how many silcon filled woman they fill the TV screens with. ITs still cheap and corny. A classic case of overkill

I agree because I used to be a wrestler. It is a pretty good sport because it is only for the MEN that can handle a great deal of pain, endurance, and strength.

I got away from the WWE for awhile and just recently started to watch it again because the only thing it is about is show and excitement. That is why the WWF, a.k.a the WWE, was created. Only to give people pure excitement and craziness. Things that people. have never seen in their life.

QFT. I used to love WcW because all it was about was wrestling with a little excitement along the way. I also loved the old WWF when Undertaker and Kane and The Rock and Stone Cold were in their prime. Those were the good old days. Now it doesn't seem to give me the same excitement that it used.

Long Live J.R.!! Banana

Martial arts is all well and good, I'm a big fan of the Gracie family, but I dont seem to recall many martial arts competitions with thousands of fans cheering them on every night, like wrestling does. Pro wrestling at the highest levels makes millions of dollars annually, so I guess they dont really give a rat's butt whether you care if its stupid or not.

Amen, Redbirds!! That's what me and my friends always called it! I'm glad someone else used that phrase. We also called it "soap opera with a shot of testosterone"... Good times..

I crack my brother up every time when I do my "Big Show" impression.. That time that JBL supposedly kidnapped his girlfriend (I can't really remember what all happened here.. But Big Show's girlfriend turned up in JBL's limo's trunk)... You know, he did this little thing where he slowly turned around, boiling in rage, and every time I do that, my brother just about dies Laughing He says it looks ridiculous..

As much as I will talk about how dumb it is, I agree with the people who say, I still watch it! The "drama" actually made it a little more interesting for me. It's great to watch these things progress, and things that happen now have all these implications for the future, blah blah. haha! Razz

What a JERK Crazy

Well as I can tell by your avatar you like Nascar..even though I hate both sports I'm going to have to go say that wrestling even though it's fake they do pick up people and what not so it takes a lot more athletic ability..Nascar takes none what so ever..Wrestling is more of a sport then Nascar will ever be

Oh man, Look out. You just opened up a whole new can of worms with that one.

Anyway. I remember back in the day when my dad used to watch it (and westerns) all day on saturdays. I hated it because it was the only thing we could watch if we couldn't go out. And lord knows you never changed the channel when our dad was watching tv.

I got into WCW for a bit. My favorite was Goldberg. But then it started to go to crap when WWF (at the time) bought out WCW and the old WCW wrestlers didn't really seem to get a fair share of air time and matches as the WWE did.

WCW > WWE (IMO)

Idiot. You don't have the balls or the talent to do half of the things they do in the ring, so I recommend you keep your ignorant little mouth shut.

It's clear you have no valid points to back up your stupidity, so I'll leave you be.

Hey ya'll. I can see that not many people watch it, but some of you guys who did watch WWE (or WWF or WCW) have seen Eddie Guererro. Well, today, Eddie died. He died in the morning in his Hotel Room. More info will be realeased tomorrow. I just thought I would share that, incase someone knew him.

I heard that earlier today and am still in total shocked. I can't understand what may have caused it. Confused

Ya, It might have been an effect from drugs, although he hasn't used them in 4 years. It's sad. Hats off to Eddie Guererro! Crying or Very sad

I'm not trying to be totally rude, but could the WWE be planning something like this? That would definately not be cool if they made up some crap and said that he comes back to life or something...

I would hate the WWE so much...

but I would hope and pray they wouldn't stoop that low...

Major Props to Eddie, he was sweet...

Hopefully he was saved and went to heaven, then I'll meet him one day.. Smile

Absolutley not. There's no way they would do that. There was a police report, and it was published on MSN. It's sad to hear, but there's no question he's dead. You could start a rumor, like those of Tupac being alive, or Elvis still being around, go ahead. Sometimes it can be hard not to deny the truth.
