This is one of the most highly anticipated games of the season, and I can not wait to watch this game on Saturday night!

The great ability of Vince Young and his fast Offense against the best Linebacking core in the nation. It's really up in the air right now.

BUT----I say:

Code:
Texas    21
Ohio St. 24

OH---------IO!

You need to move to Michigan.
I can't wait until we play Michigan, and absolutely kill them. You can expect a few pm's from me reminding you who won. Wink

I won't put a score, because truly I can't make a prediction yet. I think it will be a great game, and a very close one. I would give maybe a slight edge to Ohio State, because of all their returning players, and Texas losing Benson.Tezas is saying how their RB's are going to be great...but they only played Ul Lafyettte...can't really judge off that.Young will be the difference in the game. His ability or in-abillity to make plays will be huge.ERG's prediction is way closer than your's pizzaguy. It won't be a blowout the way you would like it to be, being a fan of "the team up north".

Oh yeah baby. I told you pizzaguy that there is no chance that Michigan will win.

Also did u know Troy is splittin time with Justin?

Pizza guy did u see that perfomance by OSU. I know they played Miami but we had our 2 team defense and part of the 2nd team offense in.

2nd team offensive line, QB, RB, 2 WR's. and we still win 34-14.

Michigan only scored 33 points with their first team in the whole time and NI scored 17 points.

Also pizzaguy you will get a lot of pm's from me too.

This will be a great matchup but I expect Ohio St. to come out on top, I don't like them that much but I just don't see them losing this game. Either way I wish good luck to both teams this season!

This is one of those games I care nothing about.. so I have no reason to be biased.

With that said, Texas isnt as good as they look on paper, they never are.

Ohio State *WALKS* in this one boys.

OSU 38

I think you are crazy. 2 of the top teams in college football history and you have 1 winning that big. You score is crazy, Ohio State has a top defense in the nation, they dont give up 45 points very often. Even our bad teams do not allow that much, unless you add up 2 games.

My prediction is this:

Ohio state 34
Texas 28

Will be 31-28 with ohio state kicking a field goal towards the end. Texas will march down the field and be around the 25 but will either run out of time or downs for the game to end.

The winning of this game will be strong the rest of the year. If i was on a team that beat Ohio State or Texas in their prime, id be pumped up for just about any game.

List of People receiving Pm's from me on Sunday Morning:
Pizzaguy
Texas
LCD

Anyone else?

The way I see it, Texas and Ohio State have pretty even offenses, BUT the deciding factor will be OSU's Defense. When we need to make the big stop we will. When Texas needs the big stop, I just don't think they will deliver. Im not being biased, just being honest.

Id like to point some things out.

1. Ohio State has never lost a night game in Columbus
2. Ohio State hasn't lost at home outside the Big 10 since 1990.
3. Texas has the advantage on the line. Both Offensive and Defensive texas has the better linemen. But they are so closley talented, it will not wave to much of a advantage towards texas.
4. The quaterback position, i believe Vince Young is among the best. But he has no cedric benson to hand the ball off too. Without the huge RB threat, I believe Young will cause my mistakes and have more pressure. Ohio State Linebackers can handle any run texas throws. OSU should bring in a saftey or CB to spy on young to stop the break-through runs. On the other side OSU has very talented QB's. Im not sure who the starter will be, but id say Smith earned it last season. I would start him, with his legs and ability to still throw the ball. He just has to avoid sacks and he will be fine. OSU's WR's will make texas D look like they are standing there. Holmes and Ginn are among the nations elite. With the double threat it is near impossible to defend. With the Double coverage on Ginn, it opens the lanes for Pittman running, or Smith Scrambling.
5. As i said before, Ohio State wins regardless, With OSU's Linebackers.....it would make any defense good. Then with OSU's Recievers and Returners, best in the land.

I change my prediction with what i have said.

Ohio State: 41
Texas: 24

On the ESPN online poll, so far Texas has 53% of the vote, and Ohio State has 47%.

My perception of Texas is that they are always highly touted as a pre-season favorite, then they choke.

Texas - 17
Ohio State - 28

2 hours and 46 minutes till kick-off.....Few of my friends are at Gameday right now, lucky bastards.

That does not make any logic at all. Why would you root agiasnt Ohio State no-matter who they play. Im a huge Buckeye Fan, and i dont care for michigan at all, i dont even capitalize their name. For the sake of BCS and strengh of schedule, you want Ohio State too win. I was upset when UM lost today to ND. After Ohio State beats Texas, they will be #2. USC will choke and dropp in the next couple weeks. Then i hope michigan gets in shape and gets back into the top 3 in the nation, so it was be a mini-national championship game with OSU and michigan. I may be going to the big-game this year. I hope!

Might have been game of year......If Ohio State actually got a good shot at a long pass to end the game instead of a safety

Confused

I stand corrected.

Sitting in the stadium last night watching my Dawgs, who were favored by 18 points, squeak by Steve Spurrier 17-15 was not fun. But I'll take it.
