Subject description: baseball contest now taking teams
Reply with quote

PYP1 was an exciting race to the end. Railhand edged out The Sons of Rome to take the first place finish and win himself a rookie ticket. No one picked Railhand to win it all so the super rookie ticket will carry over to next season and something else will be added. For the final results Click Here.

If you'd like to get in on this next UL please enter your team now. We have room for 8 teams as the first and last place teams will remain in the UL as a guide to predicting the seasons out come.

If you don't get your team into the UL remember that everyone can still take part in the contest by making their predictions over at the aSi aSi Forums. Look for the Pick Your Pony topic in the tournaments section.

Rules of the Game:
Pick your pony is a two part challenge.
The first being a user league of 10 teams that competes for a prize.
• The teams should be at least 8*.
• One team per owner.
• All games must be completed by midnight pacific time by the last Saturday in the season.
• All un-played games will be forced the last Sunday of the season.
The winner of the UL receives a rookie ticket. Only the first and last place team will remain in the UL as a guide to guessing the next season's predictions.

The second part is where the fun is.
Pick your pony: Open to everyone, not just UL teams.
• After the teams are entered into the UL, (usually by the first Wednesday of the season), you will have a chance to scout the teams, predict the finishing order, and make any changes by Friday.
• You may change your guess any time up to that point then the post will be locked and the games will be scheduled.
• Please post only once in the topic and edit your changes if needed by the end of the picking time. Double posts will be deleted and you will be ineligible for the prize. Any post not containing predictions will be deleted (to maintain a nice, clean, and orderly post for official results).
• The prize will be set up like a lottery so if no one picks the exact order the prize will be carried over till the next season and something else will be added to it.
• ONLY EXACT PICKS WIN THE PRIZE.
• Official results will be posted the last Sunday of the season.
• If two people have the exact match predictions the person that posted first wins.

I guess most people must have over looked these parts in my first post as it's been 24hrs and no one has entered;

Post your team ID here. They must be at least an 8*. Please read the rules of the game for more information.

Exact match for Pick Your Pony will win the super rookie from last season and a lefty ticket. I will post more information on the picking predictions once all the teams are entered.

Enjoy the contest,
DocF

WOW 48hrs later and only one entry. I guess no one wants a rookie ticket any more these days. I'll give it one more day. If I can't get seven more teams PYP will be canceled.

Enjoy the contest,
DocF

Well, due to the lack of interest, PYP will not go this season. But if we can get enough teams by the end of this season I'll start it up at the beginning of next season. Four teams are signed up now so we have room for six more. Prize for the UL winner will be a rookie ticket. Once I get enough teams the predictions will begin. The winner of the PYP will receive a super rookie and a lefty ticket. If there is no winner the prize will be carried over till next season. Enjoy the contest.

Well I know I am not an 8* but I am on the verge of become a 7*. Right now they are a decent 6* team. If there is room I would like to particpate.

I'd like a few more teams to start this up. I have six now. I would like at least two more but would love to get the last four. Sign up now. All games are played in a UL and all games are force played. This tournament will start Wednesday no matter what for those that have been patiently waiting. Winner of the UL will receive a rookie ticket.

Thanks to all that participated in the PYP UL and contest. Congrats go out to hferris for winning the UL and taking home a rookie ticket. He beat out Birdman32 because of lower team ID.

There was no exact match pick for the PYP contest so the prizes will carry over for next season and something else will be added to the pot. Check out the PYP Topic in the aSi Forums to see how close you came to guessing the correct order.

Here is the final standings for the PYP UL.

1. Lhne-Col(AAA)KS(SCL)(THC)
2. Buzzies }TUS{
3. The Bossmen / Maine (aSi)
4. Railhands/ Round Rock(aSi)
5. PhillyPhils
6. Mighty Tigers/ New york Mets -BY
7. Chicago Cubs (ASC)
8. Blue Hawks(ASC)
9. Will's Desperados/Tulsa (aSi/DC/
10. Tony's Braves (aSi)

Keep on the look out for PYP3 in the next couple of days and you could win big.

DocF
