EA Sports... |
|
|
As if they weren't big enough, EA has recently purchased the rights of the AFL (Arena Football League) and plans to release a game in 2006. I am looking forward to it since I enjoy the AFL.
Here is a link so you can look further into it http://ve3d.ign.com/articles/578/578495p1.html?fromint=1 _________________

I wish EA Sports would release the AFL game currently available in Australia...........Aussie Rules Football. I think it would be great, and for some, something new.
I just tried NFL Street 2 (PS2), very good game. When you create a player and get him to a certian level, you can upload him into MAdden 2006......not sure on how etc. just what game said. _________________ "Chairman Mao has never seen a greater show of red strength." Bill Shankly

I believe a few years ago, for the old Ninetendo system, but cant remember which one, EA did release both an Australian Rules game and a Rubgy game but I dont think they went over all that well which is a real shame.
I had the rugby game and it was very difficult to play, but I still gave it a couple months before I had to give up.
I love to watch ARF, Rugby and especially Soccer but have always found games recreating them lacking somewhere.
Peace

I never owned that Rubgy game, but I used to rent it all the time. I believe it was for my old Sega system. I never really understood it, and like you said it was difficult to play, but I liked it just because it was different. I remember just randomly pounding buttons whenever there was a scrum, since I had no idea what I was doing lol.
I never saw the Australian rules football game though or I would have definitely given it a go. It would have been very similar though right? _________________

I remember trying out a Rugby game for the PC. The stupid game was horrible lol
I'm not sure if it is the same one though.
EA needs to dedicate more time and money to their online division Soon I'll start boycotting them altogether. |

EA Rugby 2004 was amazing. As with any game not widely played in various parts of the globe, some education may be needed for some to learn to understand.
EA Sports have games for almost every continent.
I'm a big fan of EA Cricket 2004, and EA Championshp Manager 2005, both a EA Euro game.
EA Australia is also a HUGE gaming market..............EA are really dominating every sport, everywhere. _________________ "Chairman Mao has never seen a greater show of red strength." Bill Shankly

| It was probably EA Rugby 2004 then, and yes I have played rugby going on 9 years now. Played 4 years Highschool and 2 years at the college level before swtiching to club teams. I think I played the game for 15 minutes before realizing that was 15 minutes of my life I would never get back. |

PS2 released a Rugby game with Martin Johnson on cover about 2-3 yrs ago. Very well done game, but really boring quickly.
The 2004 has an Aussie black fellow on cover (keep thinking Sailor, but may be wrong).
I played rugby for around same time frame. School i went to in UK made you play rugby before soccer.....would teach the aggression needed to soccer when you started.
Every get the chance, try the Cricket 2004, very well done game. _________________ "Chairman Mao has never seen a greater show of red strength." Bill Shankly

lol I might have to try the Cricket game. Half the people at my old work are Indian. It was a funny site during Softball Season (the way they held the bats, etc.) |

I klnda gave up on Fifa games, they are either really easy to play or really too difficult.
May look at it though, but probalby will just stick with Championship Manager for the PC and Madend and NCAA for the Game Cube.
peace

Championship Manager is awesome.
They have one great community also, with tonnes of patches etc.

I've currently got Yeovil Town into the 1st Division. Make around 150K/ wk in interest from investments, which keeps my players happy.......especially those higher priced ones (easier to keep them for that option). _________________ "Chairman Mao has never seen a greater show of red strength."
