So thats what happens in the "Worlds most popular sport".
You would never see something like that happen in our professional sports. On the other hand, thats probably the most exciting soccer game of all time. _________________ "Oderint dum metuant" |

World Record? I doubt it. |

Funny, this happens in other sports. Its just not purposeful. I have seen and read scores from multiple sports.
The Redskins/Bears (73-0).
College Football (G.Tech/??? 100+ to Zero)
Basketball games (One player scores 100 pts/other team barely scores)
The funny thing is if you lose a close game, it seems to hurt worse. They were protesting referee calls: Well, they could have pulled a R. Moss. THey could have squirted them with a water bottle or worse (moved them out of the way with their cars.) _________________

That 73-0 pro football score was between two very even teams, but one of them invented a new formation, the T formation? It revolutionized football. Wilt the stilt Chamberlain scored 100 points for the Warriors (I think) but the game score was something like 167-147. A women's highschool basketball team beat someone 123 to 3 last year and I seem to remember a football score of 222 - 0.
Scores subject to my lapsing memory banks |
