I personally love the QT tickets, especially the power ticket. I had been struggling for months trying to get my players to hit homeruns without any real progress. Then I decided to plunk down the $5 for the QT ticket pack. I waited about 48 hours so that I'd have pretty close to full pies on most of my players. I put in the ticket and *poof* I get a +200 gain in power for my team. Now, instead of having just 5 HR hitters I now have 11.

I know some people that don't like the idea of QT tickets because you can just basically buy a powerful team now...like it basically just eliminates any of the skill involved with training. What's your opinion on the tickets? I haven't tried any of the others yet so I don't have an opinion on them.

That's kind of what I think about them. I don't really see the danger of people buying success, but I just don't see the point of these tickets since they take away the whole point of this game which is getting to know ur team and finding the best way to train them

Yeah, that is one great reason why I wouldn’t buy one, what does it save you like 30mins?

It's not totally about saving time. The QT tickets will train your team in that skill only. So with the power ticket you get pure power gains without any gains in contact or swing skill. The same would apply to pitching, catching, bat contact and swing skill...pure gains in those areas without the minimal gains in related skills.

Look at the power QT ticket. I got an average of about +15 or so gain in power per player with about 3/4 of a pie (36 hours worth). Now, if I were to train in the power cage with that much pie I'd probably only see a gain of about +7, if I'm lucky.

true, why spend money, when its only taking 30 mins, and if you use 99999fps it only takes 5 mins, at the end of the day, you lose money, which to me is pointless. But my opinion may change 1 day when i try a quik train ticket.

You can't use the high FPS and get any kind of decent batting gains. Just contact. The skill and power QT tickets are well worth it.

Cheers

I think they take away the "level playing field " aspect of this game. Now, those who use the tickets will progress faster than those who diligently train their teams everyday. I would feel better about them if the gains were in line with what you would normally get in a training session. And then they would truly be just a timesaver, rather than a dose of Small Ball steroids! Smile

i agree with solipsta that skill and power tickets are worth it, because you cant minimize the screen on a high fps and still get power gain, the rest of the tickets to me are only good if you are busy in my opinion, otherwise i think they are a waste of money... Laughing

I love the QT tickets. They do after a while of use have normal gains versus the large initial ones. Your players are still limited to what the individual players potential is, so after they get the initial gains, they start to peak. For seeing a benchie or rookie's potential they are invaluable! Very Happy

I think they are great for training up a new team, but a waste if you have players that are close to max in the skill you use.

I don't see the unfair advantage since it only uses the amount of TP that you have generated.

Now the TP tickets, I don't think they shoud EVER be sold!!!

And what would that be, Commish? A ticket training all players in all 3 batting skills? I would think such a ticket to be wuite useless because then you would loose the advantage which a power QT ticket gives u by only training in power instead of all batting skills.
Or is it a package consisting of three QT tickets, one for each batting skill?

Because, when you minimize with a high fps number, you batter still swings at individual pitches, just a lot faster. The DT count the number of pitches you hit, miss, whatever... and decides how much TP is allocated towards the skills you gain. Apparently, it does contact first.

So lets say it would take 100 swings to use up all your TP in the contact cage. Normally you would get 30 or so swings per update watching the screen. The DT probably takes 15 swings and finds out how much contact gain you get and how much TP you use. Then it takes 15 swings and finds out how much swing skill you get and how much TP you use. IN THAT ORDER. With a high fps (e.g. 99999 or about 30,000 times higher than normal) you'll get a lot more swings that you need to use up all your TP on contact gains. Therefore, all contact, no skill, no more TP.

Of course that's the contact cage. The power cage would split up the TP usage to favor power, but apparently calulates the contact figures first. Same for batting on the diamond; contact is done first.

All the other skills seem to calculate the intended skills first (or only train one skill).

I hope this helps.

(...no, I'm not Quizzical in disguise...)

So are you going to add a "defense camp" ticket too? Running, throwing and catching? I don't think I'd buy that, but I'll consider a batting camp.

I knew I should've e-mailed you guys before I went and bought 2 QT ticket packs. Smile I think that the Batting Camp pack will be a good seller since targeting your bat training is a hard thing to do.

Commish, are there any plans to modify the QT process to not only tell you the team's overall skill gain, but also dump a report showing individual skill gains for each player? It shouldn't be that hard since you have to add up all the skill gains to report the team's gain. It's unlikely that I'll buy the QT packs until such a report is generated.

Thanks.

That would be incredibly handy. It's like blind training right now with QT tickets. I have no idea which players benefitted the most from power training and which ones got the least. I'd rather use a pie on something else for a player that's closed to being maxed out in power.
