I have held off on this for quite some time, and I didn't want to email it as those can get lost in the shuffle, and I didn't want to PM you as I have already twice today and I am sure you get a bazillion of those. Plus I am sure everyone might get some enjoyment from my pathetic begging for help, and who can't use a little extra entertainment here and there right? When I put the Fox stadium on #5097 it was well before the official release of the stadiums. We were in a chat area and you typed the ticket and I did the old cut and paste. Honestly, at the time, I was under the impression that it was just a test thing. Well, I hate it! My team stinks in it. I want it gone. Can you take it off the team? I would be once again forever in your debt. _________________

It actually is harder to do that than you'd think.

Don't you want some other stadium? Like the brick yard?

Nice post by the way, I really like the Peanuts. I am a huge fan as both my 8108 teams can attest.

Can't move it to "off topic" because the posts strayed off the original post topic. If we did that..... ALL posts would end up in the Off topic forum LOL.
Because the original (first) post is a smallball topic.... it needs to stay here _________________

I think it belongs here because it originally started as a smallball question. It went off topic which seems to happen alot with posts.
I also think that there are too many forums now, but I think there should be at least one more added. The advanced forums have become sort of a melting pot. You can go to the beginner forum and see exactly that, beginner stuff. When you go to the advanced forums you see everything. I think it needs to get back to what it was for. Advanced conversations about smallball. Therefor I think that maybe there should be a "general discussion" forum or at very least, rename other forums to accomodate such posts.
For example, I see alot of "suggestion" posts that should be in the forum for complaints and bugs etc... If that forum name was changed to "Bugs, problems, complaints and suggestions" then they wouldnt add to the "melting pot" effect that the advanced forums have become.
Its really hard to move posts that stray off topic because they originally had a topic. When you move them, they get buried and never answered but something needs to be done with them. They dont belong in the advanced unless your definition of advanced is different from mine. _________________ "Oderint dum metuant" |

I don't know about this. Sure it is sometimes a hard decision whether or not to move a post. But the problem of this board are not the posts that stray from their original topic. Just move the posts that definitely don't belong in the advanced owners forum (e.g. "Is this site...", "Web sites for...", or "Congrats Angels fans") doing that would be enough to keep the board from becoming clogged again without stirring too much anger.
As to the suggestion posts, I'd leave them here since suggestions are definitely something "advanced owners" need to discuss and many of these discussions have lead to some of the better threads on the old board. |

Thanks for the detailed reply. I was really just playing around.
Considering the fact that I even read the "Test" forum it really doesn't matter much to me where things land. I do agree that the original post should dictate which forum it lands in. There will, of course be many posts that start out innocently enough and end up moved to "Outside" |

LOL MD. I can think of worse things. I hope it didn't cause anyone TOO MUCH pain. Actually that comic strip at the time was VERY relevant to smallball!
nmshooter- yeah I have been a Peanuts fan as long as I can remember. It just never went away.
ATTENTION: Stop posting in this thread now and I promise that it will go away. In fact, I am going to move it. The commish already saw it. Purpose served.
ADD: Ummm...split selected post...split FROM selected post? I can't figure out how to move it. Will another moderator move this to "Off Topic" then PM me on how to move a thread when you have a chance? Thanks a ton. _________________

http://www.snoopy.com/
and my personal favorite, http://www.peanutscollectorclub.com/ which has alot of information on the strip. Things such as where Charles Schulzgot the inspiration for some of the characters. A listing of every character ever shown in the strip. How many different characters Snoopy portrayed (which by the way is the inspiration for my smallball soccer team, listing some of his many characters) and much much more. _________________ "Oderint dum metuant" |
