What is the best skill to train in to get your guyz better at slide tackling and taking away the ball? Interception? Reaction? Also, what is the best way in the trainer to apply that skill?

That's what I thought. Thanks C_J.

Now, what is the best way to train for those two skillz? Dedicated mode with just popping one ball after another to your guy(z)? Is it better to use the spacebar method for interception and actually do the click-drag for reaction? Vice versa? Way off base? (I am just going based on another post I saw on the football forums about actually making your wrist sore using the click-drag method for training in reaction...because apparently it's worth it...?)

Short quick pop ups in the dedicated mode are the best way to start IMO because you get good skill gains for reaction and interception. Once you get them trained some in those skills, you can identify their weaknesses and start trying to focus in on each individual's needs.

So let's say one of my guys is strong in interception, weak in reaction and I have another guy that is the opposite with his strength/weakness, how would you suggest giving more concentrated reaction or interception training to them?

Space bar gives little or no reaction gains...all interception. Click/drag gives reaction and interception...using the c/d method, you can increase your amount of reaction compared to interception, but you have to work some things out for yourself. Wink Think about what you are training and think about what you would do to get more reaction and less interception.

Use the c/d method to kick away from the player would help in training the reaction? I guess if you kick another ball for the player to chase in another direction before he can get to the first one he will not gain any interception, just reaction... Using the spacebar method kicks the ball to the same spot every time where the player is standing, thereby allowing him to "intercept" each and every time with little or no reaction.

Very close...you c/d and pop up to the guy from side to side like you would in reaction&interception training, except....Don't let him catch the ball. You should get almost all reaction gains that way. I appreciate you trying to think a little instead of asking for someone to hand feed you everything like some. I'm going to put some training tips together one day and post them somewhere. I figure that if I put everything I know on it, I could maybe fill a paragraph. Wink

LOL C_J. Thanks for all the help. My training is spent for today, but I will give the reaction training a shot tomorrow and see how it goes. Thanks again. Very Happy
