Dude, give it up. Everyone wants everything for free, of course. But the reality is, you could get a hundred people saying they don't want to pay and Smallball will make it so you have to pay to get in anyways. If they HAD to release it for free, they probably just wouldn't release it.
Hmm, I think I'm done with this subject. _________________ "I can resist anything except temptation" - Oscar Wilde |

Ummm, people will pay. That's the thing. There are a lot of people out there that are MORE than willing to pay and it's just the few little whiners that want everything in life given to them that make this debate (?) go on. It WILL cost, people WILL pay for it and if you don't want to pay, I guess you'll have to find another game to pay. Simple as that.
Everything that they do is not free. They have to pay for offices, web servers, employees, game developers, office supplies, heat, phone lines (am I missing something here). And to get all this, they have to make money. What is so hard to understand about this?
And why don't they do it like baseball? There could be many reasons. Maybe the financials of just selling DT's and tickets didn't work for baseball and they're losing money, but they still want to keep baseball how it is AND support football, so they're trying a different model. Or maybe they need a certain amount of cash flow to get a line of credit so that they could keep the game running and they're doing that through football.....who knows...
Sigh, if I didn't like talking about money, I wouldn't bother....LOL _________________ "I can resist anything except temptation" - Oscar Wilde |
