I've trained four teams and played two games now, and the only thing I have noticed different is that you can now get "catch" skill gains. Has any other Alpha testers noticed any modifications other than that? AI looks the same to me, they pass rather than drive, and the stupid defenders still run after the ball when you train keepers in dedicated mode. Maybe I'm missing something. Sad

Hey CJ, i just had a horrible thought. Now that catch is attainable and reaction seems to be more heavily trained in dedicated with the goalie is it possible that out 'ideal' keepers may not be so ideal any more?

Answering your question, i have noticed a slight increase in the skill of catching the ball (LOL, i wonder why) but havent yet played a game so i'll see whats changed there in a minute.
Yes that annoying little defender that runs after the ball in dedicated with the keeper is still there, along with a few AI glitches. Hopefully to be fixed soon.

The guys I had pegged as keepers gained 15-20 catch with 55% TP, so they should be ok. Cool They still pass too much! Why train drive? The only driving these guys do is to the stadium for the matches.

In that case it seems i need to relook for a keeper. I got about 16 catch-18 catch with 100% TP. As for drive skill, i still train in it, in hope that soon it will be fixed.

Sh!t CJ, my team uttelry blows, even after training Shocked
What the hell, my goalie let in every single shot and my players could not get a foot in on a single tackle whereas i could hardly get the ball past the half way line before getting viciously tackled by your dudes.

What the hell i am doing wrong, how are you training so high in dribbling (thats the skill i am still assuming calculates tackle ability) and ontop of that huge problem by keeper seems to be sucking more than ever.

Back to the drawing board this season it seems.

You beat the Weather Men! I didn't see anything wrong with your team in the four times I played you today. I've been spending a little extra quality time with the Good Ole Boys and the Short Bus Riders. Wink The Good Ole Boys were embarrassed to get bumped down to 2nd after winning 1st just a season or two ago! They've been working real hard. Only thing I saw was that your guys are slow right now.

I just lost to the bus riders 7-2 Rolling Eyes Shocked Embarassed !!
Whats your strategy in terms of dribbling? If i get that sorted, train a little more in aiming, find my new ideal keeper and then catch up with the other skills i may be back in time to escape pro relegation Rolling Eyes

Most dribble or drive well, so what I do is drive train the ones that need that and dribble the ones that drive well. With each training you get dribble and drive, but more of the one you need. I also do about a full pie or more a week on dedicated interception training. I don't run unless they really get slow because the dribbling, driving and kicking against wall does pretty good at maintaining running. I may run half a pie a week...maybe. I think it all comes down to placing the right guys in the right spots.....Good Ole Boys and Short Bus Riders have had quite a bit of changes made to their lineups inorder to best utilize their strong points.

How in the hell you manage to maintain 4 teams is beyond me, Im stuggling to pay enough attention to detail with the Geezers and i guess am becoming a bit too relaxed with the ''Click trainer, click zones, train in stuff they are bad at'' routine Rolling Eyes

If you notice, all my teams play about the same...that's because I really don't have time to pay a bunch of attention to each team. They all play the same formation and are set up the same way. I usually train the same way also. It won't work over the long run unless they come out with a "DT" type thing for soccer. Shocked

Ah well, so much for beating the Whether Men, I'm now losing 3-0 to them.

I guess I'm just going to have to call it a day with the Geezers for tonight and try and figure things out in terms of training pretty much all week so i expect to see pretty huge losses, I just hope i dont get relegated!
