I've been stuck on 8* for 3 weeks and finally I reached 9* today after an agressive training. Wanting to try out my new stuff, I played a BL game (8* opponent) and won. Next, I played 2 PL8 (both 8* opponents) games and won those too but before I had initiated my third PL game my team had dropped back down to 8*. I tried training some more with the new TP but I'm still holding at 8*. The 9* logo is indicated below the stats but the skill level is still ranked 8*. Confused What's with the yo-yo effect?!

Your team loses a certain amount of skill gained over a period of time. It is normal to hit 9* and regress back to 8*. This will happen to you again and again. Probably about 3-5 times before you stay at 9*.
Just keep on doing what you are doing. You seem to be on the right track. Plus from what you just said you are winning.
