Team pages don't show lefty or righty for players, so how do you scout opponents for important games? Have a "scouting" team that you don't care about play them first?

For important games I would worry about what stadium my opponent is using , as you can not change who he has in the line-up ( lefties and righties) , but some stadiums are suited better for lefties and centennial is a pure righty stadium.

You could play exhibition games against the other team, noting which players are lefty and which are righty Smile

Ah! Forgot about exhibition games, thanks. I can't do anything about their stadium either, but I can adjust my defense and my righty/lefty mix depending on their players and stadium.
