Why are low ID teams so desirable? Do they have some in game advantage, or is it just to be able to pretend you've been around a long time? What's the deal?

In the Pro Leagues, in the event of teams finishing with an identical record, the first tie breaker is where the teams finished the previous season in the league. In the case of both teams having dropped or advanced a league the previous season, the tiebreaker is the team with the lowest id.

Wow, now that is really scratching for an advantage! Unless ties are fairly common...

It comes into play more than you might think. Last season for example, Rock 'n Roll Heaven (766) and Roughriders (536749) had both advanced from 4th to 3rd the previous season. They both finished with 7 wins last season. Therefore, 766 got to stay in 3rd, while 536749 had to drop back to 4th:

4th league last season had it come into play as far as advancing (11275 & 29310):

Those poor Falcons! Shocked

I think we have demonstrated fully that low id's are most definitely a factor. Wink
