Does Playing games accelerate skill loss?

I'd like to know because I'm starting in the pro league tomorrow and I don't want to initiate games if it does.

Why would you not want to initiate Pro League games, that is just stupid. If you're going to do that stay out of the ProLeagues.

What are you talking about? I will initiate my pro league games but I don't want to initiate any big league games between then if I lose skill faster.

Never bought into that theory, but there are some who would swear by it. I swear at it, well no, I just laugh at it. Initiate games, don't initiate games, does not matter.

For a relatively recent discussion about this topic, check out this thread.

Personally I don't buy it. Skill loss is always happening to your team. I think the fact that your playing games doesn't make much of a difference if it does at all. Think about it. If there was a skill "penalty" for playing games, why play the game at all? That's my opinion.

Congratulations on making it to the ProLeagues. Take the time to learn a bit about the game and enjoy it. It's supposed to be fun. Razz

That's pretty much how I feel too. But some people swear there is skill loss when you play Big League games, so who really knows...

I do believe in it. Especially one of my pitchers appears to lose his skills faster when I play app. 4 games in one day.
