How many of you are Detroit Tiger fans? And who is your favorite current and or past player?

I have been a Tiger fan for longer than most of ya have been alive ><

My favorite current Tiger is Curtis Granderson as a position player and I really like Verlander. My all time Tiger is hands down Al Kaline.

Go Tigers!

LOL as I type this Craig Monroe hits a grandslam against the WhiteSox Smile 5-2 Tigers! ROAR! and Stuff!

The Tigers are having a surprisingly good season.
Kenny Rogers, Maggloi Ordoneaz, Verlander, and Shelton have all stepped up big time.
But, I just dont see the Tigers winning it all this year. The Mets look too good to be honest. I think they are the only thing standing in the Tiger's way. Also, just having the best record in baseball, does not mean they are the best. All it takes is to loose 3 out of 4 games in the playoffs to be eliminated. Even if you went 162-0.

I'm a true fan, I have went with my dad to 12 Tigers games a year for the past 4 years. Even through the losses...

Favorite right now is any pitcher that gets the job done

Favorite of the recent past is Luis Gonzales or Cecil Fielder

I am a big Placido Polanco fan living in Philly but I rarely see any tigers games. I have followed them closely scince they got Polanco though and I am rooting for them because there is no team in Philly to root for now.

"Pudge" is the man. Ivan Rodriguez is one of my most favorite players in the game today. I have met him about a dozen times and followed his career since he played AA Ball in Tulsa.

This sounds like I could have wrote it. Al Kaline has always been my favorite. One of the best rightfielders I've ever seen. I watched him throw out runners at firstbase on ground balls into rightfield.

I'm a Mud Hens fans(AAA Affiliate of Tigers) so I have to be a Tigers fan.

I must say, they really know how to work a farm system.

Curtis Granderson (Mud Hen)
Craig Monroe (Mud Hen)
Marcus Thames (Mud Hen)

See where I'm going with this?

And how bout Cody Ross? He's in the MLB and he was a Mud Hen...

Obviously us Mud Hens got it going for us... Smile

Gotta love them Mud Hens.
It seems the last few years that the Tigers realized the importance of a farm system. It always ticked me off how Sparky Anderson traded away the future players for aged veterans. It took a long time to recover from him doing that. I really like the Hens ball park. Fifth Third field has to be one of the nicest in the minors.
