Is there a way to manipulate the increases in batting skills in the ST? Specifically, I have a batter who on a DT Friday I found out is #1 on my team in power, middle of the pack in contact, but #11 in skill. Overall he is the 9th best/worst batter on my team. I would like to know if there are any training tips to help him gain more bat skill and less power.

By the way my team is 8* and a couple months old if that makes a difference.

Any thoughts would be welcome.

Just keep putting him at the plate. He won't stop gaining untill he maxes contact. Other than that you have free DT fridays. You can't really only work 1 skill besides running in ST.

I am aware that I need to have him continue batting because I don't believe he is maxed yet in any batting area. Although I thought if a player was maxed in contact then he could not gain anymore in power. Is it that once maxed in contact, skill increase ends as well?

Also I am aware that I have the option of using Dt Fridays and look forward to this Friday. Very Happy

I guess specifically does who pitches to the batter effect skill increase?

Take a non-pitcher who needs power, bat him. then when he has no TP, use him as the pitcher and put the player that needs skill at the plate. you should get less power and more contact/skill.

Also, I know you have ST but you can alos use a Friday to bat in at the plate with your pitcher throwing to him. That should give you mainly skill increases. Since he was 11th in skill that should increase his overall batting the most.
