When it comes to winning, in my opinion its pitching. I have been experimenting with different speeds such as 108-110, 109-112, 111-113, and higher. Last season I did pretty good with 109-112 in PL4 with one of my teams, and they advanced to PL3 with a 15-3 record. Once I went to PL3, I went 4-0, then my pitcher just skyrocketed down. My pitcher was pitching 109-112 in that strech of 4-0. Then I lost the next 3 games with the pitching at around 110-111. My team just plain sucks when pitching speed is high (113). My question to you guys is, should I train my pitcher to hit 113 in the pitching mound, so that when he loses skill he can get to my good pitching speed (around 112)? Should I try a very low pitching speed, like around 105 or 107? Or should I stay at 112 and hope that someone plays me 6 hours or lower after I train?

I want everyone's honest opinion. Very Happy

OK.. I believe you need to see more sunlight.. lol

I dont believe speed is everything.. simple truth could be (and im not saying this is 1000% correct) but the teams that beat you may just be better teams.. or maybe they just got the better breaks.

I've seen pitchers throw at 108 (couldnt hit 109 to save their lives) do well.. and money (I believe) stated once he had success with a pitcher in the 105-106mph range.

I find that it doesnt really matter too much, your just sweatin the smallstuff..I max my pitchers at around 112 (thats the fastest I can get them under normal conditions) and I have seen them fall to 105 ( cuz I train w/48hr. pie) and still win games ..I think the bottom line is you cant get stale and leave your players locked into certain positions..you must get to know your players learn who is playing good that season and who is playing poorly and make the nessesary adjustments
