Way too many remakes/sequels. Not many original movie's there at all. "Omen 666" (despite being yet another remake) sounds kinda cool, though.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest

THat's the movie I most want to see in 2006. Although I would like to see most of those in '06-'07. Most look pretty good to me. Especially the comedies Very Happy

These are the movies that interest me the most. However, in all likelyhood, I'll probably see 90% of the movies on that list. Sigh.

I'll see Spiderman 10 when it comes out. Can't get enough of him. I just wish they'd make SpiderHam starring Peter Porker. That was SO a fave comic of mine. And Superman Returns? Kickass. I hope it's a retelling like Batman was. Wonder Woman? I need to break out my old tshirt for that one! Oh, and Transformers. This should be quite a spectacabable....it's gonna be freakin' LIVE ACTION! Can't wait.

Shouldn't this be 3 Fast 3 Furious or some other stupid name? Can't believe this is being made. But I guess they'll make anything that's a remake of something that made respectable dollars at the box office. Gawd....Hollywood needs to take a freaking CHANCE every now and again. Confused

I dont know whats worse.

the movie companies think we are dumb enough to release all this recycled trash (for the most part) or the fact people still go to the theatres to see these movies
2006
• Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest (BV)
• X-Men 3 (Fox)
• The Pink Panther (Sony)

2007
• Spider-Man 3 (Sony)
• Shrek 3 (DW)

nothing much on this lsit that i want to see. but ill end up seeign a good majority of them since odds are ill still be workign at the theatre. I cant believe they are makign a Miami Vice one though. I was BSing with a few coworkers about what recycled crap they will coem up with next from the 80s. Looks liek my guess won

Throw Oliver Twist on that list!!!

Gonna make sure I avoid the New Fast and Furious as the first sequel was dreaful. Same with Scary Movie 4 as I can't even comment on how bad Scary Movie 2 & 3 were.

I'll probably end up seeing Harry Potter 4 and Spiderman 3 sometime.

What the heck could happen in Big Mommas's House 2? Rolling Eyes

Looking over the list and what I've just typed there seems to be a hell of a lot of sequels/prequels/remakes in that list. What happened to the originality? Sad

hopefully big momma reaches maximum density and implodes, taking the house and all of hollywood with it. now, that i would pay to see.

out of the list above, not one!

i refuse to go to a movie theatre anymore. the quality of films that are being released these days is horrendous. as one poster said, remakes and sequels. not nearly worth parting with $20 for.

but that's not the half of it. moviegoers are annoying, with their constant yapping, cell phones going off, coming and going up and down the aisles. why would i pay money to see a film with 200 people who i don't know? have to listen to them talking, like , about their, like, new cellphones that like, make all these cool sounds like. uggghhhhh!!! give me a break and a headache pill, please!

no thanks ... i'd rather watch it at home on my big screen tv with a few friends where i don't have to deal with inconsiderate morons.

I am not interested in any others on that list. Imagine, a 43 year old man who only likes comic book movies. I wish someone would make a good baseball movie! the last one was '61 I think.

Thats why I go to the drive in. I get to lay with my kids in the back of my jeep and have my car stereo blasting the movie. I like having my feet against the subwoofer. Plus its usually a double feature. Smile

:'( The dying breed of drives ins, there should be more of them.

i second that! there used to be one in westbury that i was fortunate to go to before it closed down. that was the last one around here. shame really, the whole drive-in movie experience is so much better than a theatre.

Well unless you have kids or really like 'Veggie Tales' you might change your mind. I myself like em but I wouldn't pay the cost of movies these days to go see it.

2006
• Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest (BV)
I enjoyed the first so I might give this one a try.
• X-Men 3 (Fox)
The second was better than the first, so maybe...
• Master of Time and Space (DW)
The name seems interesting but I would have to see the previews to
know for sure.

2007
• Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (WB)
May wait until the video comes out though. I'm not sure.

Even browsing thru the new releases at blockbuster I find that nothing really looks interesting.

The Corpse Bride as well.

I'll be interested to see Saw II. I don't see how they can make it as intense as the original.

i thought The Grudge was a complete waste of $8.50...I don't know if I should see the sequel to see if they made it better, or just skip it cuz of the first one.

I found this when my son asked me if I could find out if there is going to be a sequel to The Incredibles.

Quote:
HIGHLANDER 5 with a working title of HIGHLANDER 5: IN DA HOOD is set to go into production with Australian based director Brett Leonard (VIRTUOSITY, LAWNMOWER MAN) behind the lens. They further mention that there will be no Connor McCloud
LMAO Laughing
They can't be serious!

It does look like there will be a Hellboy 2. This should make him happy as thats one of his favorite movies.

Sequels aren't all that bad, if they tell a good story. Besides it cuts down on character development and gives us more story. The bad sequels are the ones that try to hard to beat the original.

If David Hasselhoff was available for The Spongebob Squarepants movie I'm sure he can squeeze the Knight Rider movie into his busy schedule.

I'd love to see Ghostbusters 3!!!! It'd be right up there with Spaceballs 3:the search for Spaceballs 2

Movies I might see. The Grudge was okay, I'm more curous than anything else about the sequel. My girlfriend has an obsession with Orlando Bloom, so I'll definitely be seeing the next Pirates of the Caribbean (which doesn't bother me at all, because although I don't care for Bloom much Depp was awesome in the first).

The comic book movies of late have been pretty well done, so I'll go check out all or most of those. Looking forward to Indiana Jones 4, I just hope it doesn't end up disgracing the first three. Both Rush Hours were pretty funny, so I'll check 3 out (is this Tucker's first movie since Rush Hour 2?!). Finally, Transformers, never really into the Transformers as a kid for some reason, but I used to watch Beast Wars (which was a spin-off of Transformers for those who've never heard of it) religiously after school, so I'll try to squeeze it in.

And I don't really care if all of today's movies are sequels or remakes, as long as they're entertaining I'm willing to part with $6.50 (woot student discount) to see them.

Mission Impossible 3 should be OK as should Big Momma's House 2 if we are lucky. As for Tekken, this might even be worse than Street Fighter.

Inglorious B******s will be my must see for next year, Quentin hasn't let me down so far. Another one I really want to see is the Da Vinci Code after just reading the book (amazing read).
I looked around and some other films for next year that caught my attention included Lonely Hearts and Even Money.

And watch out for The Bourne Ultimatum - yet another sequel.
