This has happened to me a couple of times, and I'm not quite sure whether or not that's how SmallBall is supposed to work.

I go into a training session in ST, and I put my worst hitter up at bat. After a while, he moves up the batting skill list, near the top. Then I exit, and when I return to training, he's back at the bottom of the list.

It doesn't seem like the new skills are being saved. Or does the player lose batting skill that quickly? Would it require a lot of training to retain his position on the list? It seems kinda weird that he drops from #3 best hitter to worst. It's as though he hadn't trained at all, but his TP is gone. Same with the other skills.

Can anyone help?

Thanks.

There is some problems with DT recording, but I dont know about ST. Maybe hes just a really bad hitter and you need to work with him...or maybe since your putting him up first...it seems like hes going up, but after you train the rest of your guys in hitting they also go up...

Right now it appears as though gains you get while training are not being applied to your teams, which sure would explain all the steady + 20 and +30 gains everyone keeps getting. They are losing skill but not gaining any.

well one of my teams were 6/7*, after i trained they were 7...soon after (an hour or so) they dropped back to 6

this must mean some teams are gaining skill

and this is also why i like football better, no of this skill loss/not recording crap

Yes, exact same has happened with my teams. Every player gains +5 or so and I exit. When I load it back up the players still have TP left and then I would train them again and it would say that they gain +20.
