I think the big SmallBall logo on the top of the Forum should actually link to SmallBall because there is already a link right below it that goes to the index...Easier to navagate between SmallBall and and the Forum that way...I also think its about time that the Forum links on the Community and Home pages should link here rather than the other forum...just a couple obsessive compulsive suggestions Laughing

I have to agree with you Bonner. Since this is now the "OFFICIAL" forum, they should be connected.

I am not the "Green Team" but I have made the changes you asked.

I have also added two links in the top area of the board as well.

Hey GW,

I just noticed when I came in that I now have to scroll over to see the whole message boards in my screen. Did you placing those new links on top cause that to happen? If so, can you put one of them on the top line to make the 2 lines of links more even so that possibly they will all fit on the screen without having to scroll over. I know its minor but its a major pet peeve I have.

I don't know if there was a change to fix it, but I am not having that problem.

I'm sure he was refering to the real meaning of the word Bonner:

Main Entry: Bon·ner
Variant(s): or Bon·er /'bä-n&r/
Function: biographical name
Edmund circa 1500-1569 English prelate; bishop of London (1540); supported Henry VIII's anti-papal measures but rejected imposition of Protestant doctrine during reigns of Edward VI and Elizabeth I

Is that better?

It's actually the graphic that is pushing the page over combined with the links... I have removed the one link

Just curious are you running a pretty small resolution? (800x600 or 1024x768)?

Let me know...

Well that is much better. I can see all the links but still cant see the area where it tells who the last post was made by or the top of each forum page where it has the 3 options for View posts since your last visit, View your posts etc.....

I am using 800x600 because my eyes arent that great but it wasnt like than until after the few changes you made to the header area. Its not that huge of a deal, it just gets a little annoying to me to pull up a page and have to scroll to the right to see it all. I know if I changed it to 1024x768 it would be fine. Thanks for helping anyway, it is better than it was.

OK...

Most sites these days are optimized for at least 1024x768 (17" monitor).

I will do some reading and see if there is a mod/option I can add to help you out, but truthfull I don't see it as possible.

Unfortunatly 1024x768+ will have to be the resolution limit for this board unless I find something. Sorry

No problem. I have a 19" monitor, I just find it easier on my eyes to view in 800x600 and as I said before, it was fine until something in the header changed.

What if you were to take the Forum Index link in the header and place it behind the usergroups link. That would make both lines of links even in length allowing more room between the Smallball logo and the links on the left. I suppose they could be squeezed together a bit more. I dont know if thats possible and if its a big change dont worry about it. It seems to only be affecting me so dont spend much time with it.

thanks again for looking into it.

Changed again... Added a new line in the header in case more links need to be added in the future.

So it should be OK now because the lower one does not exceed the middle line.

The image is also alot bigger that the board is used too.. but we will make the corrections if needed...

I could just add a drop down menu too, but I think the links and icons look nicer.

Just let me know if anything else needs looking into.
