OT-How about them Bolts?! |
|
|
Last night was a blast at the St. Pete Times Forum. The crickets have been replaced by people and it was rockin' last night. We haven't beat the Caps since December 2000, and last night we jumped on them for 3 goals early and held on for a 3-2 victory.
Our record stands at 5-0-2, the only remaining undefeated team in the NHL.
Tonight presents a tough matchup in Jersey vs. Brodeur and the Devils. But they played last night on the road as well. So you never know....
Hope you're watchin' Chaos...my Bolts are growin' up! Lecavalier, Modin, St. Louis, Richards, Kubina and Cullimore. _________________

I guess they will make the playoffs, but the sad thing is I'm not so sure about that with regard to my Habs |

| Granted the Bolts are off to a rocket of a start and Vinney and Martin St Louis are going to have great seasons but the reality of it is that the Calgary Flames had almost the exact same start last year losing like 2 games in the first 20 games but they came crashing down to reality after that and failed to make the playoffs. The Bolts have been nothing but terrible there 11 years in the league and I still don't see them making the playoffs this year. |

I think they have a chance to squeeze in. And the only thing you will be able to credit it to is Khabibulin. He's the most underrated goalie out there. If he hadn't had to sit out that season, he would be recognized as the best. But the team as a whole has a ways to go. Luckily, they're in the East so they're against weaker competition. I think they can grab the 8th spot or so. As for anything above that, don't count on it.

New rule change will be huge... |

If the games continue to be called the way they are, I see plenty of room for the Lightning's skill guys to score goals. I think the stat on Khabby is if you give him 3 goals, he has a .800 and better winning percentage. And for the exception of just a couple of periods so far this year, the guys in front of him have done a heckuva' job.
The way I see it, the kids are no longer kids anymore. And with Khabby in net, there's no reason to think they can't be playing in the post season.
And this city has proven to support a hockey team that has a chance to make the playoffs. Three out of the top five attendance records have been set by us back when we made our only visit to the post season. _________________

Ouch! |

Ugh! 5-1 loss. I saw this one coming last night...their legs were gone and Khabby was watching this one from the bench with the night off. _________________
