AI upgrade needed |
|
|
I have been playing smallball no for about a month and a half and really enjoy playing smallball. But i am starting to get annoyed with some of the stupid things that my players do. One of the main problems that occurs all the time is when a player is running between two bases.
i.e. 2nd and 3rd
The natural thing is for the fielders to throw to 3rd, but what is annoying me is when the player turns to run back to 2nd at which point the 3rd baseman throws to 2nd. This enables the runner to turn around again and make it to 3rd.
As this has just happened to me between 3rd and 4th base i really think the AI should be updated so that the baseman keeps the ball and so stops the runner making a base or even a run. |

I have never seen a player thrown out in a rundown.
But while it can be annoying, but like any other AI bug, it all evens out in the end.
I think they'll address some of these AI oddities after soccer is out. |

I realise that it equals out but how often do you see it happen in real baseball.

equaling out doesn't make it any less silly |
|
|
Let's suppose there was a bug that causes a one in three chance of a player turning to a puddle of blue jelly every time he strikes a foul ball in the third inning with one out and a runner on 3rd, causing the next guy to come up to the plate and one more out recorded.
It would even out, sure, will happen to all of us at some point.
Still pretty silly, though...
Cheers
