Pitching & Throwing ? & Pitch Training Question |
|
|
Hi, I just started playing smallball 2 weeks ago, and I have a few questions :
1. I have a pitcher with the highest pitching skill & the lowest throwing skill... does this seem weird ?
2. Which would be better ? a player with the no 2 pitching skill & no 3 throwing skill or the above mentioned player with highest pitching skill and absolutely lowest throwing skill ?
3. I'm following the pitch training tips from btb's website and am currently in day 4 of only pitching players... I read somewhere in another post that after the 12 (or how every many days of training) day, I should rest all from pitching for 2 days to see who loses the most skill... but in the trainer tips it doesn't say so...... should I have to wait those extra days ? or just go as the training tips says and continue with the top 3 guys after 12 days ?
Thanks all... Smallball is cool |

1. Their positions on the list don't neccesarily mean too much. Especially if you haven't trained your current pitcher in throwing for a long time. The more important thing is how fast both of them throw.
2. Finding out which player loses pitching skill the fastest can help you, however I don't think it is that important, for two reasons:
a) You will notice how fast your pitcher loses skill anyway, if it is too fast simply replace him with #2, but usually it should be OK.
b) IMHO the best pitching strategy is to go with 2 pitchers, who you use on alternating days. If you do this the skill loss becomes less important |

I have a player like that. He turned out to be my 2nd best pitcher. he threw just as fast as my 1st pitcher and was on the very bottom of the throwing power list. I think it just means he has more potential to throw at faster speeds once you get his throwing up. He probably won't hold pitch skill as well though. |
