I don't know if you're being sarcastic TNT, but at least for new players that may come across this thread, you're half-right.

Only the pitcher's pitch skill counts toward a team's star rating. His other skills count as well, though. How I understand it, a team's star rating is dependent on the starting nine's skill levels (hitting, throwing, running) and their position. It really doesn't matter if your LF can pitch, so why count that in his rating? Your pitcher's pitch skill is important so it is counted, but his ability to hit, throw, and run are also important as well. Hopefully this clears it up.
