I thought you'd at least see them by the 28th? All my anticipation really dropped off... Hopefully by next week.
Reminds me of what Commish would do with the HPN, or a new update with Smallball--Draw it out.
I'd just like to catch a glimpse. |

With the SB forums sticking around, I believe GW didn't feel the need to rush things like he did before. When it's ready, it'll be worth the wait, though. _________________ "I can resist anything except temptation" - Oscar Wilde |

Yea, I've been to the site for a preview and it looks really good. He is still setting it up and didn't want to rush it with SmallBall working for now.... _________________

At first I was really excited about the WSF, but I'm losing interest. Give SmallBall credit for renewing these forums. The pests seem to have went away with the scare.
What if the mods helped enforce the rule of no links to competing sites? It's starting to get annoying to scroll past the WSF announcement everytime I visit. |

I never get a laugh on these forums like I use to, but thanks redbirds.
In fact....I own a business and its one of my fantasies to not have customer service, have someone else (PayPal) deal with when I don't give out items, and if the time frame isnt up to par.......screw them. Never update anything new, no tech support, no new additions, have my sites (the World and Star League) never working right, and have many bugs. Have tons of ppl that are willing to give their time free of charge to keep my business running and interesting for others. Have a community that stays focused in trying new ways to keep ppl involved, even though I am not around ever, and dont tell them anything
still!
Have someone say I need some credit. |

Nelmo, I understand your frustration, but the game is a very small business. I can't imagine SmallBall is very profitable, even with the limited man-hours spent on it. It's not big enough for a customer service department. We might as well except it for what it is - an operation run by only one or two part-time people.
Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see some better support, and I think the game could grow into something again someday. Unfortunatley, I think the chances are slim, and I hope to find a similar cheap game in the future. I love managing an online baseball team. |

I am NOT competing with Smallball, so get your facts straight. I do NOT have a baseball game for people to play.
If you don't want to visit the new site, then don't. I will remove you as a member so that you do not get the welcome e-mail.
Done.
As for seeing the annouce box here... go to preferences, Board layout and select NO for Display Board announces box.
it's that simple.
Just because it's running now... I wonder if your "Perfect SmallBall Team" will even have an idea if something should go wrong with the forums...LOL
I can promise you that they won't even know they are down.
Smallball might not be profitable, but that has notning to do with Customer Service.
these forums were run "part-time" and people were always aware of what was going on, and were always up and running as best as they could, and that was by a NON-PAYING team (Global Mods, Hammers, etc) that made NO profit.
But you keep up defending Smallball. _________________ 11 time PL1 Champion |

I understand people's concerns for why the forums/site is not up yet.
Simple...
I am a perfectionist, and I want this site to be as best as it can possibly be.
The dozen or so people that have looked it over have helped me find some issues, that I never would have found. Things that needed to be fixed before the site went live so that all members could enjoy their stay.
As such, I will again, put the rush on to get this done.
I have added all of the Trade Agents to the beta/testing list, so that doubles the amount of people looking now.
I am hoping Chexx has some graphics done soon that he is working on, and I will put off the big addon I was going to do, until it's ready and then just add it next weekend.
We really are trying our best to provide a good product that people will be happy about. _________________ 11 time PL1 Champion |

Keep hammering GW, most of us are still behind you! Take the time you need, if your happy with the product we will be happy. Putting up websites is a hard thing to do, forums are even touher. There is no rush to leave here now, we have a place to come for info until your site is up and we can start having fun again. This place has become site for flaming and Steerike! and I, for one, am ready for a fun place to hang out! _________________ 4623 DT 9* PL5 | 55444 DT 9* PL4 | 105130 DT 9* PL8 | 449262 DT 9* PL4 |886 DT 7* | 741 DT 7*
