**New and Updated**

For those of you who are new to smallball football then read this.
If you are getting errors under Windows 9x (95, 98 & ME), then it is most probable that you have installed the NEW Football LITE bundle and chosen a Java inoperable under your OS.
To fix this you have to undergo these steps:

Easy Way:

#1 Uninstall Smallball
#2 Install the NEW Football bundle including Sun Java 1.31 here:

http://smallball3.prognet.com/small/soccer/download/football_install_vm.exe

Alternative solution

If, after this installation you find smallball slow and choppy then it is due to a combination of Java VM and OS which causes problems.
Experiment using different versions of Java, and then try installing the LITE package which will list all available Java VM's installed for you to run smallball under. If you cannot find peace and harmony with Sun Java, just use MS's Java which although has a couple of problems (Wierd window changing problem and no continuous crowd sound in games) will run reasonably smooth.

The Lite version is located here:

http://smallball3.prognet.com/small/soccer/download/football_install.exe

Hope this helps, if you have errors even after these steps just post here.
