Last week my friends had a big fight at school but no teacher knew and anybody who sold them out would get beaten up and today I sold them out, there really angry at me no one would talk to me accept my 2 good friends, should I of sold them out or should I of kept it a secret?

What was the fight? Was it a case of bullying? Did anything get damaged?

If something was damaged, then the teachers should know about it and you're all good.

If there was no damage and it was just two kids beating on each other (that involved no bullying), then you're a snitch for no good reason.

I'm not about ratting people out. Unless it's something that isn't right.

Like bullying or something of that sort.

If it's just two people who needed to fight, so be it.

I never ratted on the other kids. But when i was in school we just fought with our hands. These days.... If it was guns involved or knives or bullying.... I think telling the teacher is the right move. I think it sounds like you regret your descision. Its all about your own personal morals. Look inside your heart, you'll should know weather you did right or wrong.

Than you were completely right for telling. If something in the school got seriously damaged, or if someone got seriously hurt, you're also completely in the right.

If it was just two kids that fought each other, with no serious injuries or damage, than I personally wouldn't have ratted them out. Sometimes fights happen, and as long as it wasn't someone getting picked on, I see no reason why you would have needed to rat them out.

Snitches get stitches, BTW. Wink

If it was a bunch of people beating up one person, I think kids today call it jumping somebody, then you made a smart move. If I were one of the fighters then I would have waited till after school then meet up somewhere. One of my life rules is never fight at school or church.

Bullying and fighting is just plain wrong.

Reminds me two weeks ago at my high school, when about twenty people were playing red rover in the middle of the main hallway (why, I have absolutely no idea).

I was just passing along and I almost got run over by some big, obese senior that was charging along to the other side. Soon after, a fight broke out, and it went on for about twenty minutes.

I actually knew all of them (they were all in classes from previous years) and I told on each and every single one of them. They were severely punished, of course.

After I told on everyone about the incident, I found $20 (ca-ching!) just right on the floor (call it karma, if you believe in it).

I think it is the right thing to do to tell if a fight is going on, especially if you knew what the fight was about.

Besides, who knows, maybe you will receive some good karma for your troubles (that is, if you believe in it).

By the way, your bully is probably a poseur (and also, how does he know about these forums?)

Lol, the best feeling in the world is telling on someone you're jealous of because they're getting away with everythingi you may not want to do but wish you could just to abuse authority.

Me and my friend told on about ten kids involved in a huge weed deal. If they knew it was us, there would be no survivors.

Man, you can't just snitch like that unless of course it is bullying which it doensn't sound like here. I've got into fights at school a lot....not a whole lot but, a good bit in my day. Fights happen though and if people are going to fight then I say just LET them but, really don't go snitchin'. At my highschool we got secret "rules" about snitchin'. Basically "you snitch you die! Hope everything works out for you though.

This is the third person who's gotten kicked out of our school cuz of this single girl.

That school bully of mine has been suspended today he had a heated aurguement with someone, then they started fighting, since it was his third offense and he was seen by the principle.

Don't worry I'm not a bully. But I just don't like snitchin if it dosen't warrent it. The only time to snitch is if someone's being bullied, or if someone has a leathel weapon on them at school. I didn't mean to come off as a bully, and am not and hope to never be a bully. I just worded my view on snitching in a bad manner. Embarassed

My advice is to mind your own business. Do what's smartest & safest for you. I would try to keep a low profile the best way possible. As for your situation, you'll have to figure out how to do that from now forward.

Maybe you're best off putting the issue behind you. It sounds like you didn't really do anything wrong. It's good to hear you have a couple friends who stand by you.
