With everyone looking for a new game to play, I thought I would suggest Tantrix. It is a great addictive online strategy game. Visit the site at www.tantrix.com

It is free to play and there is no need to download a game client as it is run entirely on the web. I do however suggest you update your Java before playing.

I am not going to lie and say it is just like SmallBall because it's not even close, but it does have its similarities.

While a 'community' as such does not officially exist, there is a lot of players who love to just sit in the lobby all day and either play or spectate games. Some of them, even sit there for the social aspect and the great vibe generated by players all over the world.

There are wisespread tournaments, with an innovative system, with the World Championships currently underway.

No game is ever the same as there is in my opinion, the perfect mix between luck and skill.

It is one of the games for the smarter individual, but don't let that stop you.

Ok, let's clear up my wording, not that it really matters.

I personally beleive SmallBall will be fine, it will go through this tough time.

I do however, beleive that SmallBall will not survive forever (even if it's 20 years away), you'd have to be pretty dumb to think that.

The first time I played the solitair puzzles (the 7 tile loop The_Safo was talking about), I found them very difficult, took me ages to get them.

These puzzles are great, but the real fun comes with the multiplayer games. If you log into the lobby (even as a guest), say you don't know much and people will be very willing to help.

The best one's to ask for help are people who show up as 'green' in the lobby. These players are masters (the best ones in the game), they are also the one's most likely to help as they are also the repected individuals of Tantrix.
