In a huge show of generosity and a dedication to the game Commish has given me twelve, thats TWELVE Full Acess teams to give away. Now here's the deal. I will own all the teams to start and the first 12 players who post here will AT the teams, name them whatever you want, name the players, do anything but sell them.

Every trainer who makes nine stars or second pro league will be given their team outright.

Rules:

You must post here and request a team.
You must not have an FA team now, new players only.
Set the three letter code to CCD to help me keep track.
You must be active, you must train your team or it may be taken away

I was also given 12 holiday tickets so if you need one ask. Also I expect to start a UL for the teams, more info on that later. So request a team, TRAIN THEM AND WIN THEM! Very Happy

Wow that is really great. I have 3 baseball teams but have always been really curious what football was really like. If I could I would really like to try one of the teams.

I may be away for the next 24 hours or so however...so if I am eligible for this, please PM me the info. I will get the PM sometime Saturday and start training and change the letters. Thank you very much.

I'd be interested in trying this. I'm not exactly a new player, but have never trained a Football team. If there are others that deserve this more, fine. If not, I'll give it a shot.

New to Football, old timers in baseball are welcome to apply. Also, I may be able to get more teams so don't stop posting after 12. I can only guarantee 12 right now though. I'll start sending teams out this afternoon.

Here's a tool you can use to help learn the trainer; Close with report under file, upper left on the menu bar. Train one player at a time in one zone then close with report and you'll see what he gains in that zone. You can do more than one of course but I find one or two work best. Obviously players train different but this will give you a sense of what trains what.

A few questions were asked. There's no time limit on this, and yes, 9* is hard to get, but possible. Also I now have a UL for us to use, I'll post details later.

I'd like to give it a shot. Used to train but have no money to spend to get back into the game. And I'd definetly be active.

If I'm not mistaken, Cliff said that there's a possibility that more teams will be available than the 12 initially offered. So it's not a problem for more than 12 people to apply.

I replied to this but I guess I didn't post it. Yes Willy I can get you in, as Sol said only the first 12 were guaranteed but more are possible and I have one more for you. I'll PM it today.

By the way if you ever start a new team you have to open the trainer before you can put the FA ticket on. If you try you get an error saying No Team Owner: xxxxxx something like that. The ticket is validated but not used. You can use it again on the same team, but if you do this twice on the same team you lose a ticket. Wanna guess how I found this out? Embarassed

I'm not giving out tickets, I'm giving out teams, AT teams that I continue to own. If you'd like one I'll put you on the waiting list, I may get some more, not sure.

I just signed up. I dont know how well I'll do. I am working on finding my goalies first. I wish this UL was mandatory. That way we could see how every team is doing.

To make the UL more interesting I bought a set of Football QT tickets for a prize. Only the AT teams I've given away here are eligble.

A question for everyone, should we start right away or wait? I think we should wait a week. Next monday? I guess in case of a tie we'll have a playoff since the UL standings don't show goal differential (Hint Commish)

Yes Thank you Very Happy I have a 2nd UL now, I'll divide the teams before we start, so some will end up in 1014, but I'll take care of it. With two ULs we'll probably have to put the top teams in a 2nd round, I'll figure that out later.

Both UL leagues have been set up, but no games scheduled yet, they are:

http://www.smallball.com/go/on.goal.lg?id=1013 and
http://www.smallball.com/go/on.goal.lg?id=1014

We'll probably start Monday and run one season, two weeks. After that I'll set up one UL for the top teams for the tickets.
