w00t, so glad it's Florida and not Michigan in the championship game. My basketball coach'll be happy. (Crazy gator fan, made the football coach change the man to man defense name from Miami to Gator and other stuff like that) _________________ XsT | TA# 1.1 | -.- | XXI | $2856.82 (10/27)

And had Michigan beaten OSU do you really expect me to believe you'd want to give OSU a rematch?
You'd be all abuot how its not fair to give a rematch.
If Michigan was that good, they would have beaten OSU the first time.. _________________ http://sbdevils.com/forum/ and http://smallball.info The only forums you'll ever need. |

I'd chuckle if that (Big10 expansion) happened because of this little debacle. However that doesn't solve the issue. Even with the current system they still didn't get it right. Where's Boise State? Division 1 school. Unbeaten. No championship game? What's that? For a team to have a shot at the national title game, you have to belong to one of the 6 BCS conferences or be Notre Dame. Even then it's pushing it, (i.e. Rutgers*). Pizzaguy is right his "Bull Crap System" comment, even though he was misguided as to his reasoning.
Of the teams that are allowed to compete for a national title the BCS committee got it right. _________________

It would not have been the same.
A.) OSU would have been beaten by a lower ranked team.
B.) OSU would have been beaten at home.
And until it happens you don't know what I would say. If we won, why wouldn't I want to smack them around more, at a neutral site...

More arguments arise.
What about MAC(and other conferences) be allowed into BCS games? They're DIV I too...
*Note- I do know they all stink compared to the rest. |

PG just face it.
OSU beat Michigan and its not fair for anyone to think they deserve a second shot.
Florida is the best 1-loss team in America.. therefore it only makes sense that they get a shot.. ALL Michigan had to do was beat OSU but they wasn't able to do so.. now its someone else's turn.
Florida had an advantage because they had to play in the SECCG.. they proved once again WHY they're the 2nd best team in the country by taking down a VERY good Arkansas team..
If this was a fair world, UF would be 13-0 right now and Michigan would be solid 3rd place.. ooops, Im sorry.. I forgot they already are
It comes down to this.. if Michigan feels like they've been screwed SO BAD.. all they have to do is destroy USC and who knows.. maybe they'll get a share of a split.. it wouldnt be fair (as I HATE split titles) but thats it Michigan.. you've talked all the trash now get your butts out there and PROVE you're the best team in America.. if Michigna b eats USC by 21 or more they'll probably end up with a split if UF beats OSU. _________________ http://sbdevils.com/forum/ and http://smallball.info The only forums you'll ever need. |

Dear BCS,
How do I loathe thee? Let me count the ways.
1 one thousand...
2 one thousand...
3 one thousand...

How about playing next Novembers OSU/Mich at a neutral site? Sounds good to me. I'm getting sick of the neutral site talk. Every other year your team has to play on the other teams home field. Deal with it. It's a fact of football. Michigan had their chance and blew it. If Florida beats OSU by 1 point and Michigan wins by 199, I will still think Florida should be the national champions. That's why they call it the National Championship game. There is no doubt the BCS is a flawed system but playoffs will most likely never happen. The coaches will never vote it in. They would have to give up their bowl games which is considered a prize for having a winning season. They have incentives in the contracts for getting to bowl games etc... _________________

Like I posted at WS Forum. The top 8 BCS teams make the playoffs and everyone else plays their Bowl Games. It would mean more money because there would be 3 extra games and a real Champ. It would also mean no break in college football. _________________

Worst thing i ahve ever seen. They need a playoff. OSU will murder Florida but nobody wil get rid of the BCS and bowls because of the money. _________________ "NOT GOING DOWN UNTIL THE SHIP GOES DOWN!"
