My grades keep dropping, i havent did much of anything. My first ACT score was a 23 and my last results havent came in yet. Im hoping for at least a 25. I havent sent out any college apps either. I have 8 years of school ahead of me though, its going to be great.

Career-wise... many people in college still don't know...

As for colleges, my final list now is much different than it was... a year ago, a couple months ago, a couple weeks ago, and even just last week. (Decided to add two more schools last minute)

I guess by October of senior year... you should have your official prospective college list ready. Also, junior year is for visiting... I've visited 10+, the average person at my school visits about 20 schools to see if they like them.

Yeah, I'm a senior in college and I still have no idea....

Good luck to all you guys with your college searches. It's a lot of hard work finding your ideal colleges, but it's definitely worth the effort.

Pizzaguy, at your point, it's more important to decide what you want to learn than what you want to do. There is a difference.

Well, I'm a Senior too.. and to be honest, I'm surprised you guys are still stressing out.

In late September I finished everything- had the reco's written, guidance one also and all my applications done and handed in. These were for Early Action.

Did anyone else do EA? I applied to 4 schools EA and should be hearing back from them in a few weeks (about dec. 16).

Anyway, I am still going to apply to more schools, but they should be pretty easy. All I gotta do is fill out the supplements.

Oh, and by the way, the ACT is so much better than the SAT... I took the SAT 3 times, and got a decent score. Then I took the ACT and got a much much better score.

Atleast it's hockey season Cool

llama that is poor thinking... Maybe it's different in Massachusetts because it's so competitive, but they weigh everything so much.

I have to give all requests for recommendations in for all schools by tommorow.

I'm an AP student, or as I'd like to call it: Advanced Procrastination... I get everything in hours before the deadline.

I got my Univ of N.Carolina - Chapel Hill application in on Nov 5th (EA) The deadline was Nov 1st but they extended it so I took full advantage of that.

I just got my UCLA app in... and it's due in several hours too.

I still have six more to go... which is coming along slowly since that's my bad habit... UConn, New York Univ, NC State, UNC-W, Northeastern, and SUNY: Binghamton.

Can't wait for all this to be over because I never find time to do this stuff... between school and varsity sports... and an attempt in having a social life so I don't spontaneously combust... and my horrible procrastinating habits. Oh well, hopefully I get into school. Smile

I'm not pleased with my GPA (Around 3-3.4) nor SAT (Around 1400~2000 on the new scale) scores so I am a bit nervous for a couple of my first choice schools... Just hoping my schools take into high consideration the massive amounts of extracurriculars and extra rigorous course schedules.

Those two are the most solid academic schools on your list there. If I could get into UMich, I would've applied but I don't have much of a chance, especially not being a Mich resident. It's the third best public college in the nation. USC is very good too, but I didn't apply because the tuition is too high in relation to my interest in going there.

Well I scored a 30 On the ACT's and have a 4.2 GPA.

So.. All schools I am applying to will more then likely accept.

I applyed to University of Michigan and am pretty sure I am in there... But I doubt I will go there. I haven't heard to much good things from people close to me who have went.

But who knows.

Ohh, you guys have weighted GPA's... my GPA is out of as 12 point system but I converted to a base 4... I guess on a base 4 weighted... mine is around 3.7-4.1 but I still wish I hadn't messed around sophomore year(s) to screw up what could be a nice looking transcript. I'm confident in all the schools I'm applying to, with the exception of NYU, I could get into the college of Arts & Science easily but am aiming for the Stern school of Business.

Best of luck to you.

Looks like staying close to home isn't an issue at all to you, Money? I've started to think about where I want to go to school, but I can't get a good gauge since 1) I have yet to take a PSAT or recieve a score back on the new SAT (missed both PSAT dates because of baseball showcases, and I'm a Jr by the way), 2) haven't visited much of anywhere yet, and 3) knowing that money and travel aren't issues, there are too many choices!

My family's moving to North Carolina upon my graduation from HS. My dad's down there already. And I still have lots of friends at Uconn and in the Boston area already (and Hartford). First part of my life was growing up in Brooklyn, NYC. The only school that would be completely uncharted territory for me is UCLA. Wink
