My last day on the "job" at Smallball.org and as promised the time has come for the community to move forward.

I am proud to annouce the name of the new site is

World Sports Forums

www.wsforums.org

We have worked pretty well nonstop to get this ready on time, however as with any new project, we have run into slight problems.

That said, I am doing my best to get this launched by tomorrow, however it might be Monday. I wanted a finished product, and it is for the most part, however being a perfectionist, I am trying to be 100% done as opposed to 95% done.

Due to some new issues (actually new addition I added today), my time line has been pushed back a little.. but I will stay up as long as I can to try and get everything done. (There is quite a bit of tweaking left)

Now i don't want people to worry, as long as you have the url www.wsforums.org (inactive right now) you will find the new site. Do NOT worry, if you are reading this and are logged in, you have already been pre-registered at the new WSForums. All 4690 members Smile

If your SmallBall.org e-mail is correct, you can expect an e-mail soon from WSF Admin for the launch of the new forums. Also as promised, the Smallball.org contact has been preserved. I am happy to annouce that The SmallBall Sports Archive is complete and updated to Wed, Oct 18, 2006.

everything that you know and remember from this site has been transfered over there. You will not lose one post (before Oct 18th).

Should the site go down, i will update the archives with the last available backup in the future. Members are free to access that site right away.

PLEASE NOTE!

Only registered Smallball.org members in good standing as of Oct 18th will be able to read any posts on the archived site. This will be a premium perk for all those people that behaved themselves here. new members will NOT be able to register. I am not supporting Smallball or AndNow or any new Members sorry. These forums will also be READ-ONLY.. you will not be able to post new content there. The new WSForums will fill that void. There will be NO PM system there. All Private Messages have been deleted and the system has been turned off.

This archive forum is my gift to The Smallball Community. I felt it was the right thing to do and as such, the no new register/no posting options are the right ones.

That said, Feel free to comment below.. however the best is yet to come. Smile

Anxiously awaiting for 100% completion. Really happy to see how you have pre-registered the new members. Should make things easier for everyone. Please take a bow for the hard work. It's obvious you wanted to make this site the best it can be. Understandable how you would not want to support Andnow and SB. After all, where the heck have they been? I echo everything RR said and now (no pun intended) that I have seen the name and logo, I can't wait until it is open. I bookmarked it so there won't be any issues in case I don't get the email.

BTW, why does the title come up followthepros.com?

Tim's Dodgers made a joke about a countdown, and I was kidding with the deadline to continue the "hurry-up" rant... Sorry bad joke.

I only asked if posting a link violated the rules. I didn't attempt to moderate, but justed asked for a clarification on the rule from the moderators. If you made that rule, GW, then I misunderstood who made the rules and did most of the work on this site. I figured you and Commish started the forums together, but if you created it, that only adds to my respect of you and disrespect for him. GW, I'm sorry for making a poor assumption.

Ok Guys,

I know some of you are "upset" and disappointed that we have not gone live yet, but as with anything brand new, things come up.

Since the Smallball.org forums are still up, and you guys have a place to go, I have wanted to go live with a finished, polished product as opposed to simply a place to go when this place "was" going down.

I guess some of you are saying "well why does it take so long"?

I can only answer that it does, it's not easy and as soon as you fix one thing, you find 2 or 3 more. I have added a fair amount of things, but it's not overly done.

People have requested things, and I have tried to accommodate them.

I can tell you I spent another 20+ hours on it this past weekend alone, and I have about two dozen or so beta testers looking everything over. We think we have found most if not all the bugs.

I just don't want you guys to think I am sitting back and not trying to get this going, I really am and I think those that have seen the site will tell you it really is coming along pretty good. (I will let them decide if they want to reply to that)

So we are trying our best to get this done, BUT we will also not be rushed and have people unsatisfied with a half finished product.

I sincerely ask that you guys have a little more patience with us.

I think that most of the beta testers will tell you (again) the wait should be worth it.
